Lee House Cottage Reviews

Richard
Lee House Cottage is located in a beautiful and tranquil setting. The house and attached cottage have 8 sizeable bedrooms, comfortable living area, a very useful utility room and a superb dinerkitchen area. The family favourite though was the outside area, with lots of space for children young and old, to ride bicycles, play table tennis and crouquet, enjoy barbeques and spend plenty of time in the hot tub. Big thanks to Rosie and Jon the owners who were available if when we needed them.
Amazing property well positioned and equipped. Pleasant and considerate hosts. Thank you
Alison
Once again a wonderful stay . Beautiful setting and accommodation is fantastic for a large group . Thank you for the welcome hamper full of local produce . We will definitely be back .
Sophie
What an amazing property and location! We had the best weekend at Lee House Cottage. We have a family weekend away every year and all 14 adults agreed that this house was the best we have been to. The house is beautiful with everything you could possibly need and more, the owners really have thought of everything and it's definitely shows. The beds are super comfy as are the pillows, hot showers and plenty of them. The garden is stunning with beautiful views, the chickens, donkeys and Sunny the dog just add to the ambience aswell as the neighbour's cows who regularly came to the fence to say hello. The local area is great with lots to do and plenty of places to eat and walk. The hot tub was a real treat and Jon cleaned and checked it everyday during our stay. The pictures honestly don't do it justice, Rosie and Jon have put so much time and love into this property! Thank you for making our family weekend perfect, we will definitely be back.
Kathryn
A delightful cottage, tastefully decorated with everything you could possibly want to make your stay comfortable. The property is located in beautiful countryside near the village of Cheddleton which had lovely places to eat. We particularly liked the hot tub, table tennis and gas barbecue. The children particularly liked the animals especially the friendly chickens. We would definitely rebook for a family break again.
Charlotte
We celebrated a family birthday at the cottage and were really impressed with everything, the cottage is gorgeous I dont think the photos online reflect how lovely it is, the facilities kept everyone entertained and we had the most wonderful weekend together. Highly recommend if youre looking for a luxury cottage in the middle of no where to relax and spend time together. Huge thank you to the owners
We had a fun family weekend. Lovely accommodation for 15 of us with a room to spare! The hot tub was appreciated by children and adults. The house is off the beaten track so dont expect to be able to walk to the pub. Good circular walk from the house. I chose this property because it was one of the few that could seat us all at one table
The property was ideal for our family holiday with excellent accommodation. We particularly liked the fact that we senior members were able to stay in Ostlers Cottage leaving the main house to the younger members of the family. Rosie and Jon were most accommodating and unobtrusive hosts. Finally the property is set in wonderfully peaceful surroundings with lovely walks in the surrounding countryside but also close enough to easily access shops and pubs.
Thank you for a lovely stay. Perfect for a gathering of a multi generational family 13 96yrs from UK and Australia. The house met all of our needs hot tub, table tennis, log burner...even a table the right size for our jig saw! Access to short and longer walks, and a half day on the steam railway! We were catered for by Pam for one night and she was marvellous with superb skill to meet all dietary requirements. We shall remember all of this for a long time!
Alison
Absolutely fabulous stay . Beautiful setting , well equipped and clean . Will be back next year to see chickens and donkeys . Thank you
The house is beautiful and was perfect for our get together. Large dining room and sitting room with a fantastic outside dining area which had the hot tub, ping pong table and gas bbq. The area around the house is gorgeous with plenty of walks. The children were able to run around and see free range chickens and visit the donkeys at the owners farm. The owners were lovely to chat with and spent time introducing the kids to the animals. We will very likely use this house again in the future I cant recommend enough thank you
Virginia

We had a wonderful extended family Christmas in this spacious and comfortable house. The hosts, who live in the neighbouring farm, were very helpful e.g. when we needed to borrow a larger saucepan to cook a ham without being obtrusive.
An excellent property which served the purpose of providing accomodation for 19 members of a family gathering for a weekend to attend the wedding of one of it's number. An intense time of preparation, celebration and relaxation was covered by the facilities offered and certainly helped the wedding event to be a memorable event for all concerned.
Amanda
We could not recommend Lee House more highly. The house is beautiful inside and out with everything we needed. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful. It was my sisters wedding at Foxtails and perfect for families wanted a beautiful place to stay. Pam, a local lady catered for us one evening. It could not have been better ! Except 3 days wasn't long enough.
Absolutely beautiful property, in a perfect setting. We all had a fantastic time, so comfortable and everything was there that you need for your holiday, it was nice seeing the owners too, who were very attentive and friendly. Thankyou so much.
Excellent accommodation. Ideal for family gathering. Hosts most welcoming and friendly. Excellent
Pauline
I was absolutely delighted with this cottage stay. It is the first time all of my family having gone away together and I would highly recommend this property. Extremely spacious there were 14 of us and we didnt feel on top of each other, fabulous hot tub! We saw cows, donkeys, chickens, hares, house martins a real country stay. It is well equipped with outdoor bbq facilities, table tennis and plenty of outdoor seating for seeing in the sunset. A truly wonderful find that my whole family thoroughly enjoyed! So very beautiful.
Elizabeth
The property was fantastic. It was exactly what we wanted. It was spotless and excellent in every way. We could not fault it. The hot tub was fantastic and cleaned twice a day. The water temperature was perfect. The owners were great and delighted to help with any queries. I would highly recommend Lee cottage.
The cottages were amazing, as was the setting. We had a lovely, multigenerational, holiday to celebrate my dads 80th birthday. The owners were very helpful when needed but we also had a good sense of privacy. An excellent visit!
This is a lovely, large and very clean comfortable property. Three generations of our family had a wonderful time here with no complaints at all. Excellent communication and directions from the owners, with a much appreciated welcome pack of local specialities. Rolling countryside in all directions some pleasant walks on the doorstep. Leek is only a few miles away for all provisions, and the chip shop in Cheddleston gets special mention! Highly recommended!
Communication with the owner prior to the stay was excellent and Rosie answered all our queries which was really important as we had a wheelchair user in our party. Everything was thought of, right down to photos of the route to the property! The facilities were fantastic and perfect for our family get together. We wanted for nothing while we were there and the location was just idyllic. We cannot recommend this cottage highly enough and would not hesitate to return as it catered for all our family needs.
Rebecca
The property is amazing for large groups. Lots of living space and bathrooms to accommodate all without feeling overcrowded. The annex was an added bonus. The gardens are beautiful and very well kept, a hot tub and table tennis table for entertainment. The property itself is very well equipped and there were lots of extras you wouldnt usually find in a holiday rental. The local area has lots of lovely walks and is a picturesque setting. A wonderful stay and I would definitely return.
Alison
Had the most amazing stay at Lee Cottage. It was so much better than we imagined. We were 3 generations staying for a new year break. 10 adults and 8 children with a baby. Superb location hot tub and table tennis good fun. Thanks to John and Rosie for a very special stay. Would love to return.
We had a really lovely weekend at Lee cottage, unfortunately we had a power cut ... We had a really lovely weekend at Lee cottage, unfortunately we had a power cut for around 4 hours whilst there due to the weather but Jon and Rosie were so helpful, our second time in this cottage and we love it
Georgina
Thank you for a great stay, beautiful location, excellent space for a large party and the separate annex worked very well for us. The little touches jam, cheese etc were very appreciated.
Richard
Really enjoyable stay, beautifully appointed cottage with plenty of space to spread out 13 of us. Kitchen well appointed, lounge and dining areas huge, bedrooms all very comfortable. Hot tub was a nice tonic during the early evening. Instructions for everything were extremely clear. Would love to return.
Charanjit
Everything from the communication with the owners to the ease of arrival, checking in, the facilities and leaving exceeded our expectations. I would definitely book again. Thank you for a lovely break.
We booked Lee House Cottage and Ostlers Cottage for a university reunion. The house was everything we wanted and more! It had everything you needed in the kitchen and the facilities were second to none. The hot tub was a special touch which we enjoyed looking over the beautiful countryside. We had the most amazing weekend here and will be returning again! Thank you so much for having us!
Michael
Everything about Lee House was perfect! It was spotlessly clean & all the bedding, towels, kitchen equipment, crockery & cutlery were as new. The view from the lovely garden was absolutely stunning. We spent a lot of time sitting & eating in the garden, the outdoor furniture was very comfortable. The house is very child friendly & our 6 grandchildren spent a lot of time in the hot tub, running around on the lawn & playing outdoor games such as table tennis & croquet that were provided. All the 10 adults joined in as well!! The owners were really friendly & welcoming. One of the many highlights for the children was watching the 3 'on site' donkeys being fed & being able to stroke them! We used a caterer, recommended by the owners, on Saturday night to celebrate one of our daughter's 40th birthday, ksimcockcatering.co.uk, she was excellent & the food she produced was delicious. I initially chose Lee House because of the location, lovely photos on the website & the spacious nature of the property. However, seeing & 'experiencing' the house in person was even better! We all had a wonderful & very relaxing weekend. Would recommend Lee House without reservation to anyone.
Elaine
Beautiful location, the beds were really comfy, hottub was a great experience. All in all a brilliant weekend
Meghan
We recently visited for a family getaway for a 60th birthday party. The house was fantastic and had everything we needed. There were 19 of us in total and there was plenty of space for us. We never once felt like we were on top of each other. Would definitely recommend and revisit. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.
One word to describe Lee House Cottage, 'perfection'! We gathered our family of 16 together for the first time in over a year, to celebrate my 60th birthday. Our bankholiday weekend away was fantastic. The cottage is beautiful, cleaned to a very high standard, wellequipped and the views from the outdoor eating area are stunning. The owners, Jon and Rosie, made sure we were comfortable, and Sonny was the perfect furry host! We are hoping to make this an annual family. Thank you for helping us to make wonderful memories, especially with our elderly parents.
