Gwennol Cottage Reviews

Lovely secluded cottage with wonderful scenery and views. The facilities were excellent with a nice welcoming gift provided by the owner upon our arrival.
The cottage was very well presented and offered everything required for a weeks stay. The owners were very helpful when needed. The situation of the cottage is lovely, great views and there was easy access.
Victoria
What a beautiful hidden gem! The cottage was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully equipped to ensure a perfect stay. Outside, we enjoyed the hot tub overlooking breathtaking viewsideal for unwinding after a day of exploring. There was plenty of space for the kids to play, along with a fun play frame. In the evenings, we relaxed at the gazebo with a fire, creating wonderful memories. The field at the back was a hit with the kids and our dog, who loved watching the horses run about. I highly recommend this place we had a fantastic time!
We had a brilliant stay and would defo recommend again.

The property was perfect for our family of 3 plus our dog the place was beautifully quiet, lovely views across the valley and great to unwind at the end of the day in the hot tub watching the birds in the trees Jays, woodpeckers were amazing! Kevin and Mandy could not have been more welcoming, friendly, attentive and helpful as the owners. Very considerate of the guests and nothing was any trouble. The dog exercise field was a real hit and the horses would come over to investigate.

Mandy and Kev made our stay a memorable one! The cottage and surrounding areas are idilic. A real home from home. They have thought of everything. Theres a real feel of luxury in the bedrooms and lounge area. The private doggy area was brilliant for Bibi she loved it. She also made friends with Bonnie the owners lovely dog, The WiFi was perfect although we were in the country. If you want a bit of R and R in peaceful surroundings this is the place! And the hot tub was just what I needed. 10 out of 10 in our opinion,
Lovely stay, very dog friendly having the dog bowls and dog exercise area. Very nice cottage.
Excellent cottage very clean and comfortable. Well equipped my daughter loved her walk in wardrobe and ensuite.I loved the hot tub .very quiet area .We also liked the fact that you told dog owners to keep them on a lead as my daughter even though she is an adult is one of those people who are scared of dogs .It was just the peace and quiet we needed and enjoyed visiting the area despite the weather but we know it always rains when we get to Wales on previous family visits. It was also near a family member so gave us a chance to visit him.The only downside I found was that the two smallest knives were not very sharp when I used them and unfortunately the kettle stopped working on the last morning but that can happen at anytime as they are temperamental.
Had an absolutely wonderful stay here despite the weather Mandy was very friendly and also left us to it. Cottage itself was immaculately clean, warm and cosy with baby gate, high chair and cot provided for the little one. The views from the cottage were amazing, the jacuzzi was top of the range and very welcome after running around after little one all day. Everything you need for a cosy, relaxing break

Gwennol is a beautiful cottage in a fantastic location! We were really lucky and had some gorgeous weather, which only makes the view even better! We travelled down to Barafudle Bay one day, just over an hour from the cottage and well worth it!! My only hesitation about the cottage is that it is semi detached and I was conscious that if the dog barked, he would disturb the people staying in the other cottage. Otherwise no issues!
Lovely clean & well kept cottage set in beautiful surroundings. Especially pleased with the hot tub, dog field which helped us to give the dog a run and my grandson to see friendly horses and tractors in the surrounding fields. The friendly owners popped by to see us with some milk and to make sure we had everything we needed We would definitely recommend this cottage to friends & family.
Perfect holiday from start to finish. Mandy and Kevin have a beautiful place, imacculately clean inside and out with stunning views and lovely welsh weather too! The dog excersise area was a great bonus and the cottage was kitted out perfectly. There was a really handy information pack inside which was really thoughtful, along with bara brith and a bottle of wine on arrival. The hot tub was lovely and used many times, rain or shine, with fantastic views to boot. Plenty around in the local areas to explore and further afield too. Diolch yn fawr both for your kind hospitality. We will be back!

The cottage was in a beautiful location with great access to nearby towns and attractions Paxtons Tower, Llandeilo, Aberglasney Gardens, Black Mountain, The National Botanic Gardens to name a few. The cottage was spotless and the beds were very comfortable my partner enjoyed the hottub on several occasions. The facilities for our dogs were excellent a separate area close by to exercise them was very welcome, especially with the inclement weather. Towels and bed linen were provided, and a welcome pack of wine, milk, bara brith and coffee were a very considerate provision. We would definitely recommend this cottage
Highly recommend this property, its a cosy comfortable cottage, spotlessly clean with immaculately maintained grounds and hot tub. The owners attention to detail make this a great place to stay. Looking forward to our next visit.
Vanessa
The cottage is in a great location for exploring the South Welsh coast as well as the Brecon Beacon. It is one of the best cottages we have stayed in quiet, private, clean, comfortable and with great views. It had everything we needed. The hot tub was also a welcome treat after spending the day walking. There were 2 other cottages on site as well as the owners home but it did not feel overcrowded, noisy or overlooked. We very briefly saw the other guests during our stay. The owner, Mandy, welcomed us on the first day and we knew they were available if any issues. We would highly recommend Gwennol Cottage and we are already looking to rebook in the near future. Thank you Mandy and Kev. Vanessa and Andrew
Great location with beautiful views from the garden and plenty to see and do, whatever your preferences! Semidetached cottage with an apparently closedoff interconnecting door was rather unexpected, but in our case, the noise disturbance from our neighbour was minimal. Wellequipped facilities inside.
Stephen
I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gwennol Cottage. The location was brilliant, the views were great and the owners were lovely. Hoping to book again in the future.

We absolutely loved our stay at Gwennol Cottage! The cottage was cosy and our boys aged 8 and 5 loved having their own room and ensuite. The facilities were great and the views from the hot tub were spectacular. The owners were really friendly and welcoming we would definitely recommend this cottage!
Beautiful cottage . Well equipped and comfortable the beautiful views across the valley were somewhat spoiled by dog fouling signs .I sat out in the sun and my eyes were drawn to the 4 signs , less signs would have made it more welcoming and relaxing . Luckily we had great weather for our week and periods of quiet peace .
Nicholas
Flawless holiday. None of us wanted to leave. So happy we booked here for a 2nd year in a row. The recent refurbishments improved on our first visit which is impressive in itself as I didn't think our first visit could have been improved! Turns out the Hot Tub was an unknown missing piece
We were given a lovely welcome by the owners who were very accommodating. The property was ideal for our purposes, easy access to places of interest and, for us, visiting relatives. A well equipped cottage in a good location with the bonus of a hot tub with grand views. Highly recommended
A great place to stay. We enjoyed the hot tub with a view. The property has recently been renovated and is beautifully kept and really well equipped. Its a great location with lots to see and do locally but also easy to explore further into both the Brecon Beacons and Pembrokeshire. We would definitely recommend staying here.
We had a fantastic holiday at Gwennol cottage, it had everything we needed and some lovely additional touches such as dog towel and baby bath. The setting is beautiful and there was loads to do in the local area, we would certainly love to stay again.

Excellent weeks holiday, everything we could need Mandy and Kevin had obviously given a lot of thought, care and attention with our comfort at the cottage in mind, the super king size bed was very comfortable and the relaxing break we needed to recharge our batteries, thank you
Gwennol Cottage was a modern cottage, very clean, well appointed and fully equipped, everything one needed down to boxes of tissues, cling film and foil in the kitchen and plenty of tea towels. Gardens immaculately kept. . Well done Mandy and Kev. Situated in lovely countryside ideally situated to explore Brecon Beacons and Gower Peninsula and with the superb Aberglasney Gardens, the National Botanical Gardens of Wales and several historic castle ruins nearby.
Extremely wellequipped cottage, fantastic views from the doorstep & garden for sitting out, very welcoming & helpful hosts, excellent location for visiting so many places.

Lesley
The cottage was beautiful and clean very well thought out by the owners Kevin and Mandy its a shame there was restrictions with the COVID19 we would of enjoyed it more . The only thing I would say about is the heating it would of been nice to control the heating our selfs every one is different we felt the cold more it was only 9 c out and about .Even though the cottage was saying the temperature was up we still felt the cold on an evening but Kevin was at hand to assist.
Joanna
Close to plenty of tourist sites and easy access roads. Peaceful site, attentive hosts. Spotlessly clean.
