Graig Las The Barn Reviews

We had a wonderful 4night stay at Graig Las The Barn. As a family of four, we found the cottage lovely, cosy, and much more spacious than the photos suggested! It was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need, including the board games and binoculars which were a huge hit with our two teenagers as was the high speed WiFi. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring we were wellrested for days spent exploring. The location is absolutely perfect too. Its a peaceful base for local walks and we loved that so many stunning spots were within a 30minute drive, including Lake Vyrnwy, Lake Bala, and the breathtaking Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall. We even ventured out to the amazing Cader Idris trail, which was only about an hour away. Local shops were also easy to reach within a 1540 minute drive. The surrounding area is truly beautiful and quiet, but the real showstopper was the starry night sky, which we could even see through the bedroom skylight! The owners, Marie and Greg, were very friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Well definitely be recommending this gem to all our friends and family.
It's a great place away from it all, everything you need is there wonderful countryside. Lots of places to go and good walks. Greg and Maria are great very helpful in every way. The village pub do nice meals, the locals are are very friendly i would recommend i it to anyone a cosy place to stay, looking for to go back again next year.Dave Sue Sinead my dog.
Sooo looking forward to our week away, but a few weeks before we were asked if we could swap cottages as the owners had family staying. We accepted and owners said they would leave some things to make our stay more enjoyable, nothing was found. The hot tub was a huge let down, it is a very steep walk up to it not good if like me you have a disability is overlooked and not secluded, and the decking around the base is downright dangerous, split and wet timber more than just a slip hazard. Oh and not all the jets work. The shower in the bathroom is extremely weak and regularly cuts out leaving you in either scolding hot or freezing water, my partner slipped over trying to move out of the way and was sporting a large bruise on her knee. All week we had no hot water and had to boil kettles to wash up and bathe. The boiler was working because it was so loud it kept us awake. We did have a little accident with an outside table. Access to the cottage is up more than a farm track, if you have a low slung vehicle be warned. However the views are spectacular and the low flying trainer jets make interesting viewing.

Unfortunately hot tub in my view is not private as its situated next to owners farm with windows overlooking, shower is old and bath seems to be fitted wrong way so you have to lean backwards as bath end has a slope , had a mix up and farmer thought we were out and burnt some old garden foliage which unfortunately came in through skylight window in bathroom and we could smell on our clothes ,plus limited us from using garden for one evening, however was very apologising the next day , had an issue with tv and wasp nest in garden which were dealt with straight away by hosts , overall did enjoy our stay but hot tub issue and fire issue did not give us the experience we were hoping for soz
A little gem of a place that we are already planning to return to. The surroundings are picturesque and peaceful, all you can hear are the birds tweeting and the sheep bleating. The hosts are exceptional and on hand to give help if needed. Many thanks Greg and Marie for your hospitality and allowing us to share your beautiful corner of Wales.
What a beautiful cottage. We had a wonderful few days at Graig Las. The owners are so welcoming and helpful, the cottage itself was clean, cosy and spacious enough for a family four. The views are amazingwe will definitely be back.
Excellent place to stay In a isolated location away from it all,but not to far for groceries and things. Excellent location for snowdonia area and has some beautiful local waterfalls nearby 2030mins by car. It's off the beaten track so be prepared for a bumpy ride up to las craigit's on a mountain after allbut worth it.stunning views from cottage across the valley... perfect for morning coffee. Has out door hot tub, nice perfect way to relax after a day out...excellent lovely friendly owners nearby, will show you around everything. But then do not interfere in anyway, unless you ask them to.
We had lovely week at the barn, Marie and Greg are excellent hosts. We are a family of four with a small dog. It was a lovely location with great views. Nice and quiet, we all loved it. It was perfect for us. We did a lot of walking.
Our stay was absolutely amazing. Greeted shortly after arrival by Greg, who was more than happy to show us around the property properly and explain the details of hot tub and how to work it without causing havoc or damage. Prior to the stay we requested some additional decorations in the bedrooms, which exceeded our expectations by far! The cottage is located in a lovely location, very tucked away so no road noises etc which of course was a bonus. The hot tub was perfect, lovely after a day out exploring. Overall it is a very home away from home experience, and no complaints were needed about our stay. The lovely owners Greg and Marie were always on hand if we had any issues or queries, and even gave a helping hand upon leaving when issues arose. Will definitely be back in February for a little break away again!

The Barn is a well presented, comfortable cottage in stunning surroundings. This was a last minute booking and we did not read the description properly, so, had not realised that the cottage was part of the Stables completely separate and because those rooms are beside and over the downstairs bedroom we were very aware of other guests and they were in no way noisy We also hadnt realised the location of the hot tub. It is private but right by and overlooked by the main farm house and you do need proper shoes to walk there. I think the flies enjoyed it as much as we did. Our hosts were very helpful and there were milk and some digestive biscuits for our arrival cup of tea. The Barn does not have, though, what I would call a cooks kitchen. Thank you for our stay. Graig Las is a magical place.

Wonderful surroundings, perfect accommodation, great hot tub and very friendly hosts.
The way to the cottage is thru a long farm track and when you arrive at the area, ohhh what a great surprise. The cottage is lovely, the view is spectacular!!!! The owners were very welcoming!!!! all towels, bed linens smells so fresh and clean, the cottage is so pretty and bed especially was so comfortable, all you need are there and you are happy to use it because you know that its very clean, the place is so cozy, we have plans to go out but we were so happy to just stay and explore the area instead, as you go to the back area of the cottage, the view is so beautiful, lot of sheeps around, birds and others , and the hot tub with a view was the best part of it!!!! Was sad to leave the place but will definitely come back.
We had a lovely couple of days at Graig Las. It is in a beautiful remote spot with amazing views, great for walking and lots of tracks for biking. The hot tub was a nice treat at the end of a bike ride. Cosy and comfortable accommodation with very comfy bed and facilities. Greg and Maria were very welcoming and helpful hosts. Looking forward to returning.
Amazing place to stay with great views and brilliant hosts. Surrounded by the hills and lots of sheep which was very relaxing. Hot tub under the stars and the owners dogs being some of the highlights. Would definitely stay again
