Fox's Den Reviews

Nicholas
Great place to stay in the heart of the country side. Great house with everything you could need. Ideal break away from everyday life.
The stay was perfect in everyway. The cottage was immaculate. The hot tub sublime. The downstairs shower room perfect for cooling off after the hot tub. If I had to be picky. The mattress in the main bedroom could have been better. Only as I have a back condition. But could be fine for anyone else. And a TV in the second bedroom was lacking. But who watches TV anyway. Too pocky really as the overall experience was amazing.

We had an amazing family long weekend in this barn, 4 in here and 12 in Pheasants Roost. We had a cake left out for us which was lovely. Everything about this place was fabulous. The outside area was so nice it had a wood burner and plenty of seating and all under cover, remember to bring some wood as no starter pack. I would definitely book one of these barns again.
Excellent stay luxury throughout. Very spacious. We loved how big the hot tub was and the outdoor area attached. Bedroom was lovely and beda great size and comfortable. Only slight improvement would be for washing machine tablets to be included aswell as woodlighters for the fire or a note to let us know in advance to bring those things. Thanks for a lovely stay!
Charlie was lovely, happy to answer any questions we had. Electric car charger easy to usefind. Amazing cake on arrival so yummy. Lovely place to stay with some nice places nearby ro visit.
A lovely relaxing holiday property, very clean and comfortable, modern and tranquil. The hot tub was a real bonus and very well maintained. had extra beach towels and games, another plus. not ideal for those without their own transport, as there are no shops or public transport nearby. generally well equipped. would benefit from some oven gloves or tea towels to remove hot items from oven I would highly recommend this cottage. Thank you
Stephen
A beautiful barn in an idyllic peaceful location. 20 mins drive in to Hull. Easy access to coast. Facilities and decir were of the highest quality. Exceeded our expectations and we would certainly stay again.

Fab stay. Maybe a wheelchair, pushchair, crutches, ramp access.
Foxs Den was perfect for us, like stopping a show home.
A great and comfortable place to stay. We really loved it. We will definitely book this place again.
This is an amazing holiday 'cottage', thoughtfully converted to give spacious and comfortable accommodation. We found everything to be super clean and of the highest quality, with lots of little touches to make you feel that's you're in a very special place. We used the hot tub alot, as well as the outside fire area. The kitchen was well equiped with everything you could need and everywhere was just really comfortable...we didn't want to leave. The Stag's Head in Lelley is a short walk and serves excellent food with a very friendly atmosphere. We would thoroughly recommend the Fox's Den!
Loved our stay. Very tranquil and lovely walks and beaches nearby. Barn was lovely and the owners helpful.
The barn was very nice but there were a few issues we found with cleanliness. Dirty plates and greasy baking trays, dirty marks on some of the walls and dirt in the downstairs bathroom. The biggest problem for us was that despite being listed as dog friendly the property wasnt fully enclosed meaning dogs could easily access the road. This meant that we couldnt keep the doors open for our dog to potter about outside like hes used to. It also meant the barn was extremely hot all the time. I messaged the owner to ask if there was a way to enclose the courtyard so our dog wasnt stuck inside. He said hed have a think about it but never got back to me. Overall a nice cottage in a lovely location but disappointing. I wouldnt list this as dog friendly.
We had an amazing week at Foxs Den. The accommodation was superb. So peaceful and the hot tub was a bonus. The Stag down the road did great food. Visited York which is a beautiful city and Mappleton beach was stunning. Would definitely visit again. Thanks for a great week !!!
Fantastic. Everything was superb, thankyou. We loved it. Clean. Warm. Well stocked. Luxurious. The local pub was superb.....don't venture any further....we did and there was nocontest. The hot tubs were drained, cleaned and refilled. Would definitely return. Would have benefitted from having a multiplug adapter in sofaroom. There was only 1 socket, so couldn't hook the nintendo switch up in there. Granted, this will not apply to many. Also, the postcode provided wasnt particularly accurate but you can't miss the cottages...just keep going.
