Daisy Cottage Reviews

A beautiful, cozy and comfortable cottage. A perfect place to relax and to visit the lakes!
The property was lovely, really clean, everything we needed and the hot tub was a bonus. Perfect location for exploring the northern lakes.
Had a lovely stay at the end of August 2025. Very clean and comfortable, every thing you could possible need. Hot tub was perfect and we felt we had privacy while using it. Hosts were exceptional, very friendly and welcoming. really enjoyed our stay and it is situated right in the middle of everything. Lots of fantastic pubs nearby either 20 mins walk or 5 mins drive, loved going round em all. Lots of places to visit nearby. Defiantly recommend a visit.
We loved our stay at Daisy Cottage. The cottage was clean and welcoming, Val and Roger were wonderful, friendly hosts and very accommodating. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and utility room for our weeks stay. The cottage is close to the A66 but we didnt notice the traffic noise too much and it was really handy to get us to the different parts of the Lake District we wanted to visit. We also loved that we were close to Ullswater. We really enjoyed the hot tub too which had a great view for sunsets. Nice and clean and easy to use. Thank you for hosting such a lovely holiday!

Me and my family of four spent a whole week at Daisy Cottage. We had a very warm welcome by Val. I must say Val and Roger is doing a fantastic job maintaining the property. Property is super clean well. Almost central to most touristy places around . The stretch of grass next to the cottage and seeing the sheeps little faces every morning was so nice. My family loved to soak in the Hot tub every evening . They do have EV chargers in the property. We would highly recommend this place and love to go back to Daisy Cottage when in Lake district next time

Had a fantastic holiday in this lovely cottage it was pretty, cosy & comfortable and we had everything we could possibly need! Spotlessly clean too & the owners were friendly & helpful though not at all intrusive. The hot tub was an added bonus after a long day out and it was handy to have the laundry facilities too. We had a brilliant week in the lakes with our son and family. The cottage was clean and comfortable and the owners on site very helpful. The hot tub was great after a long day in the lakes and our son had no problem charging his electric car when necessary. Thank you for a great holiday. One small point. It was a bit tricky sometimes with six of us in the cottage and only one bathroom toilet.
We loved Daisy Cottage and had a splendid time. Roger and Val were there with a smile and a helping hand when we needed it. An ideal holiday base for our family of grandparents, parent and two grandchildren.
This is an excellent property for a trip to the Lake District. The owners made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and gave us some useful advice on nearby walks and places to visit. The Cottage was spotless and had everything you could need during your stay including a welcome package that included milk biscuits and a bottle of Prosecco. The hot tub was that little extra treat that we needed for our aching bones after a day out walking. If you are going to the Lake District and are looking for a place to stay then I would definitely recommend Daisy Cottage.
I have used many selfcatering properties over the years, and this is one of the best I have ever stayed in. Wonderfully well equipped, including many little extras provided, completely peaceful despite the proximity to the A66, any noise from this being inaudible inside the house. Roger and Val were very welcoming and friendly hosts, directions to the house were absolutely spoton, and the whole experience was a delight. Many thanks!
We absolutely loved our stay at Daisy cottage. It is nicely done out and there were some lovely little extras that Val and Roger put in place too. We even had a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge along with the milk! The place was spotless and was a perfect location for us. Val and Roger are lovely and very friendly but not intrusive. We will be back.

Very comfortable 3 bedroom cottage. Well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and microwave etc. Lots of cooking utensils for all your needs. The hot tub was lovely especially with views over open fields with sheep and lambs trotting about. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Will love to return some time in the future.
Alison
Thanks so much to Val, Roger and their daughter who checks the hot tub twice a day for a warm welcome and lovely stay at Daisy Cottage. There was everything we could have hoped for and more even home baking equipment, a Lake District Monopoly game and dressing gowns for using to go to he hot tub, which is such a luxury and we found best enjoyed in the rain under the fairy lights at sunset. There is so much to do in striking distance of the cottage, indoor and out, and such great views of the fells.

We had a great time at Daisy Cottage, Roger and Val and family were always happy to help with any queries we had and any advice on things to do in the local area. The cottage itself was very clean and well presented. It was perfect for what we were looking for our break. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds comfortable and the hot tub was lovely! It was also great to have the utility area. We will definitely be back and thank you for being such great hosts.

The property is a well maintained, clean and very comfortable in every aspect from the living room furnishings to the beds. We could not fault the cottage in anyway. Our 3 and 6 year old girls loved the surrounds, seeing sheep all day and the little extras like the picnic benches are an added bonus where the girls loved having breakfast and lunch outside. The surrounding make the cottage and farm standout even more and in a quiet area away from the main town. Hot tub is extremely well maintained and even though we didnt get as much time to use it as wed liked, its the cherry on the cake! We will sure be back next year and both Roger and Val are very accommodating and lovely hosts you will not be disappointed!
Great location, very well equipped cottage and brilliant hosts. Highly recommended.
Jeffrey
The cottage was excellently equipped very comfortable. What was very very useful was a folder which included appliance instructions. Stayed at a number of locations where the oven opperation was a guess. One minor point was having a clock in the kitchen would be helpful.
Beyond expectations, absolutely enjoyed our stay. Hot tub was the most enjoyable part. Roger & Val been very friendly. Definitely will book this place again.
Lovely comfortable cottage. Great location for exploring the Lakes, Keswick and Penrith. Beautiful setting with great views of mountains and lambs. Added bonus with the hot tub, which we enjoyed every evening after a day of exploring. Cottage had all that we needed and lots of lovely personal touches. Also a big covered shed to leave our bikes. Owners were friendly and welcoming. With 3 kids was great to have a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Very comfortable beds. A great week holiday, should have booked 2 weeks!
We stayed at Daisy cottage Christmas week, we arrived a day late after car trouble, the owners held our holiday open and luckily we managed to make it the day after. The cottage is beautiful, super clean and there was lots of little extra christmassy touches we weren't expecting. The hosts are a lovely, welcoming couple and made sure we had everything we needed. Thankyou to the hosts for a wonderful stay in a beautiful location.
Quiet secluded all facilities new comfortable warm and close to great pubs for terriffic food . We wanted for nothing Brilliant
