Churn Dash Cottage Reviews

We had a lovely stay. Good directions to the property and it was spacious and well equipped. The hot tub was great too.
Pamela

Stephanie
A very high standard of property very clean and well equipped. Plenty of room and a well maintained hot tub.Great parking for x2 cars and a great base for discovering the local area such as the Derbyshire Dales and the Peak District and very nice and helpful owners.
Jackie
A lovely cottage. Clean and tidy. We were disappointed in the outside. At the front was a building site and at the back the garden was overgrown. No views at all. No welcome basket , we have stayed in many cottage lets over the years and this is the first one without any welcome milk, bread etc. we used the hot tub on our first night which was lovely.
Heather
Churn Dash Cottage was everything we could have wished for. Immaculately designed and maintained, some genuine thought has been put into how the cottage is laid out and presented. From the fully fitted kitchen to the Man Cave hot tub bar, spotlessly clean throughout and with lots of personal touches that make you feel so welcome. We were looking for a week to do nothing, and the location was perfect, absolutely no where in beautiful countryside but just a 1015minute drive to shops, restaurants and golf courses. Thanks so much, we had a wonderful stay and will definitely be visiting again!
Richard
Churn Dash Cottage is a superb holiday accommodation. It is well stocked with everything you'd need. Also there are generous and thoughtful extras supplied to make the holiday stay most enjoyable. The owners are really friendly and made arrival simple and informative. Access to pubs, shops and the like is easy yet the surrounding area is peaceful and quiet.
A beautiful property, very clean and full of everything you would need. The kitchen is very well equipped with crockery and utensils including plastic ones for use outside. Dawn and Adam were great friendly hosts and I would strongly recommend this cottage.
Really enjoyed our stay at Churndash . Lovely cottage with everything you need Great hot tub . Dawn and family were very helpful .
1010 bank holiday stay from start to finish. Churn Dash was everything we expected, and more. Great location, spacious but cosy, clean and had all the amenities you need. Plus a bar area for when the kids go to sleep. Hot tub was great as well. Dawn the owner recommended a lovely walk for us to do that lead us to a few pubs. We had two 2yr olds with us who enjoyed the farm in the mornings as we went to visit the horses when they woke up. Loads of pubs that serve great food within a mile or so, park for the kids. Matlock the next town has aquarium, arcades and other things to do as well. Couldnt recommend enough! Thanks again, James

We absolutely loved our stay at the very beautiful Churn Dale Cottage, Spotlessly clean, very well equipped, the hosts were kind and friendly and had great communication for any questions we asked. Hot tub was a wonderful touch and was a luxurious extra. Would definitely go back and recommend highly to others.
The cottage is well appointed and lovely and clean. Dawn the owner has thought of everything you might need to enjoy a relaxing stay. We went out during the days and cooked at home and played the board games provided during the evenings. Truly a warm and cosy home away from home. Just perfect. The hot tub is also excellent, just what we needed. Overall a great base location to explore the surrounding area in clean and well maintained comfort.
The photographs dont do Churndash cottage justice, its stunning. The beds are so comfy and the whole place was so dark at night that we slept better than we have done for months! Dawn has thought of everything you might need in the kitchen when cooking. The shower was lovely, powerful and instantly hot. The hot tub was the icing on the cake, perfect to sink into. The weather meant we couldnt make the most of the garden or bar sadly but all looked lovely xx
We have been fortunate to stay in lots of great accommodation, but this was by far the best! Really clean and comfortable, outstanding facilities and lots of really thoughtful details. We had such a wonderful, relaxing holiday thank you.
Melanie
We had a lovely relaxing holiday at Churn Dash, wonderful cosy cottage, warm, clean and very well equipped. The only thing i would say is that a mirror is needed near a plug or a plug near a mirror in main bedroom for drying your hair in but apart from that the cottage is lovely. The hot tub was a added bonus for us too, great place to relax. Dawn, the owner is a wonderful, friendly host and very kindly helped us when needed. Was lovely to see the Ponys too! Thankyou very much for our stay, from the 4 generations of girlys from E. Yorkshire.
We had a fabulous stay and were really impressed with the standard of the cottage. We made use of the hot tub and bar area, and were pleasantly surprised by the hot tub towel and robes. The friendly welcome and interaction with the owners was lovely. Engaging and informative without being intrusive. We would love to visit again.
Beautiful cottage, extremely well equipped kitchen. Beds very comfortable and cottage exceptionally clean. Hosts were very friendly and approachable. Hot Tub was amazing.
Lizzie
A really lovely cottage with everything you could possibly need for a great holiday. From chilled filtered water on tap with an ice machine to an amazing hot tub and bar in the garden. It is set in a quiet location and my children loved the horses and sheep on the farm. Beautiful walks all around the property made sure we got our steps done in the evening! I would highly recommend this property.

Had a great stay at Churn Dash, a great base for the area in general. The owners were available without being intrusive & we had all we needed & more! Another great holiday!
Louise
We had a really lovely, relaxing stay at Churn Dash Cottage. Beautifully fitted out, comfortable and clean accommodation. Great to have the jacuzzi at the end of a days exploration of the area. Kedleston Hall N.T. close by and excellent, Chatsworth and Matlock Bath well worth the drive.
Dawn & Adam have created a very special holiday let on their farm. It is equipped and decorated to a very high standard and most importantly we found Churn Dash Cottage to be spotlessly clean. We had a fantastic, very comfortable relaxing week and enjoyed daily use of the hot tub. Owners were fastidious in checking pH levels daily but in no way intrusive. Thanks again for a lovely week.
Caroline
The cottage was very well presented and one of the best stocked cottages we have ever stayed in. The owner had thought about what people might need and provided it. It's rare when stopping in cottages that there is this attention to detail, it is very thoughtful. The cottage was lovely and clean, in a great location and the owners were very friendly. We had a great stay in this cottage and would recommend it.
Amazing cottage home from home. Everything you would need for a perfect stay. Cosy and warm. Hottub and bar added extra. Will definitely be back!!
Ashley
We had a lovely stay at the Churn Dash Cottage. We had a last minute booking change and the owner was so kind to accommodate us. My husband and I stayed for 5 nights. The property was large, very clean, warm, and had everything we needed. The owner went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed including a special request. Property is newly renovated, nice and quiet, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The hot tub was enjoyable on a chilly night. WiFi was fast and enjoyed being able to log into Netflix on TV. We were quite pleased with our stay and we hope to be back soon.
We had a perfect week at churn dash cottage. It is very clean and beautifully decorated. Hot tub was always clean and was perfect for the end of the day to relax. Only thing I would say is if your taking kids another tv would be ideal for an evening. Apart from that it was absolutely perfect, didn't want to leave! Shops and everything you need is a 10 minute drive. So quiet on the farm also was very relaxing, just what you need for a weekweekend away.
Fabulous property in a lovely location on a farm. The owner was also very friendly. We will likely return!
Debbie
We had a wonderful stay at churn dash cottage. Very clean fully equipped, Lots of information for where to visit whilst your there. Dawn and family were welcoming we didn't want to leave, would recommend a visit.
This property was beautiful. It was clean and tidy and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. BEWARE!! We booked it specifically for the hot tub and it's privacy. The hot tub was amazing but we only got it for 2 nights out of our 3 night stay!!!! We were told to stop using it after 6pm on the last night so it could be cleaned down the next occupants. This was not made clear in the listing and if it had been, we would definitely NOT have booked it. We felt forced to go out on the last night so they could access the property to clean, empty and refill the hot tub for the next guests who bytheway didn't arrive until 3pm the following day!!! When we came back it was still being refilled for several hours so we closed the curtains and sat watching TV in the cottage on our last night in stead of getting the last use of the hot tub. This was not what we paid for. We paid to have use of the hot tub for 3 nights and this totally spoiled the holiday, we were not impressed. Our Son was particularly disappointed because this cottage was his choice specifially for the use of the hot tub . I can't believe they did this and get away with it, we felt like we were an inconvience to them. You wouldn't do this is any other setting and be allowed to get away with it. If they needed time to prepare the hot tub for the next guests this should have been factored into their time not ours!!! In the future they should NOT book another occupant for the following day. There should be a gap between the bookings so they have time to clean and prepare the hot tub for the next guests. Our last night was totally ruined and it was a shame because we were really enjoying our stay. We used the hot tub of an evening so we could relax after a day of exploring the area. I would never book this venue again which is such a shame. I dont want to spend a full day disputing with the owner by text message while we were on a day trip. This really upset the family. If people don't want to use the hot tub this is a lovely cottage. However if you book it specifically for the hot tub, don't bother!! If you book 2 nights you will only get use of the hot tub for one night....this is a total ripoff. I will be seeking a partial refund for all the inconvenience.
Amazing cottage, great atmosphere very peaceful and tranquil, very comfy beds, Dawn was great. Cant wait to visit again
Claire
Fantastic stay at Churn Dash Cottage. It's a great location to explore the surrounding area. The cottage, located on a working farm, is beautifully decorated, and very well equipped. The hot tub was lovely with both robes and towels provided. Dawn is lovely and extremely helpful with any questions you may have, 100 recommend a stay here our family loved it.
This is a lovely, immaculately clean and tastefully decorated cottage with good quality furniture and all you need plus more. It's located on a working farm in a beautiful part of Derbyshire and it was great to see the Derbyshire Gritstone sheep and chickens in the field next to the cottage as well as the horses and 4 extremely well behaved dogs. Dawn the owner is very friendly and helpful providing a great welcome pack of wine, milk, nibbles and fresh flowers as well as a fan to help my daughter cope with the extremely hot weather. It's a lovely base to visit the surrounding countryside and although we had some hot days we were still able to make use of the hot tub for which there were bath sheets provided and a 'man cave' bar to change in and enjoy drinks in. The beds were really comfortable which meant we all felt refreshed in the mornings. Just a really great place to stay and we will certainly be coming back.
Jeremy
Dawn and Adam were lovely people, very helpful and courteous, we had a very enjoyable 3 nights in their super cottage. Plenty of very nice eating places recommended by Dawn. The hot tub was fabulous.
