Church Farm Barn Reviews

Christine
Church Farm Barn was home from home, in fact better! ! It was spacious for our 3 generation celebration. The 2 lounges offered everyone some space and the large kitchen a wonderful place to gather. The facilities were great and the utensils plentiful. It didn't matter if the dishwasher was running as there was still plenty of everything for the 10 of us. We all loved sitting around the big table eating, playing games and just being together. The beds were a dream and wonderful not to have to queue for the bathroom. Even though we were pleasantly surprised by good weather the lovely outside area wasn't used much due to a chilly wind. However, it was still great for an Easter egg hunt. The table tennis was important with 2 boys but we were so busy out and about that it wasn't used as much as I expected. So another time! Great to be able to walk to a pub and the beach and even as far as Westleton. The only criticism would be that the 5 bar gate needs some meshing over it as our small 4 legged friend could get through and one day he saw a deer and ran around the house and onto the drive next door. So a small gate at the side would make the patio more secure. We would highly recommend this property and would love to come again but so many places to visit.
Catherine
We enjoyed our stay at Church Farm Barn , only a short walk to the beach and heathland for great walks. , the place was very nicely decorated, very looked brand new, plenty of room for us all. The kitchen was enormous, double ovens but we did find the electric hob tricky to use and it would have been helpful to have an instruction manual to hand. Plenty of hot soft water for baths and showers ever been anywhere with water so soft. . Beds very large and comfortable . Unfortunately the garden courtyard was not really enclosed apart from the gate on to the road so we had to keep them on leads at all times
Yvonne
Lovely place to stay, excellent quality bedding and towels, very comfortable and relaxing. Nice little walk down to Dunwich beach.
Nicole
We had a wonderful time staying at Church Farm Barn for my partners 60th. 8 adults and 3 little ones there was plenty of space for us all and we found everything to be even better than described the barn is MASSIVE! We would definitely return and there wasn't a thing which we thought could be improved, everything you need is there for a big family trip. Thanks for having us!
We stayed at Church Farm Barn for our early family Christmas. Beautiful house in a beautiful location. The facilities were great everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were! Everything was clean and the house was comfortably warm for the time of year. Would highly recommend as couldnt fault a thing!
Very large warm comfortable property We had everything we needed, PowerPoint where needed, mirrors and even hooks on some doors . Plenty of cutlery and China Even lots of dishwasher tablets and tea towels .The only thing we would have liked was, another tv as we all had different taste in programme s All in all very nice
Just returned from a fantastic stay at Church Farm Barn. . lovely accommodation, comfortable bedrooms, all ensuite.. well equipped kitchen and plenty of space to relax.
Lovely property which is well equipped for a large family group. A second TV in the large lounge would be good. The toilet seat in the first bedroom on the right needs mending and a ceiling light is out on the stairway to the twin bedroom. Great location and fine local pub. We would stay again.
Fantastic property in every way, will definitely stay again.
What a lovely place to stay for a quite relaxing stay. The property was so well equipped, they really thought of everything. Local residents, pubs and restaurants along with the wonderful scenery and beautiful beach were wonderful. Would highly recommend and would definitely revisit Church Barn again. Thank you
The property is in a great location, spacious, comfortable and great for a family weekend away together.
Really nice place to stay with a well equipped kitchen and thought through layout. Comfortable clean and quiet.
Charles
Great place, quality appliances, well stocked with everything you need. You can put all crockery, for nine people, in the dishwasher and still have enough dishes for a further nine. The place itself is well maintained, very friendly people from Tori who told us where to find the cutlery to the maintance man who tried to help fix our car when it hit a pothole. Over the years our group has stayed in many large self catering establishments, some good, some not so good, but without doubt this is the best one. It's spacious, with lots of home comforts, I can highly recommed Church Farm Barn
Sharon
Excellent accommodation in beautiful surroundings. Every little detail has been thought of from a kitchen with every utensilcooking facilities you coukd possibly need to a table tennis table. We had a fantastic Easter weekend.
Elaine
This is a perfect place for a larger family holiday in a beautiful part of the Suffolk coast. The house is really well laid out with all the main bedrooms with their own on suite bathrooms. Beautiful large kitchendining area, TV room and lounge. All kitchen equipment, towels and bedding are of good quality too. We've had a lovely relaxing week, thanks.
Andrew
This is a fabulous property, it is of a very high standard with everything required & more to make it feel like home from home, lots of kitchen accessories, cutlery & crockery & a fab dishwasher to do all the work! All four downstairs bedrooms with en suites are fab. The location is an absolute delight, you can park you car & not have to use it all week with the numerous & varied local walks from the barn itself, there are woodlands, heathland & beach walks on the doorstep. The Ship Inn is a 10 minute walk away with good selection of ales & good food. We will be back!
Our group covered 3 generations with ages ranging from 2 to 73 & this was perfect accommodation to celebrate my wifes 70th birthday. Clean & spacious with 4 ensuites & plenty of room in the lounge, separate tv room & large kitchen diner for us all to spread out. The added bonus now of an EV charger which was used by two of our cars cash left for electricity. Only a 15 minutes stroll to Dunwich beach & The Ship with loads of other lovely walks on the doorstep. Superb holiday.
Louise
Beautiful converted barn in lovely village of Dunwich. Very comfortable and well equipped. Perfect position for exploring the East coast of Suffolk or for just walking in the local area. Very welcoming on arrival and we had a really lovely stay over the New Year.
Loved the house, our 2nd visit and thank you for the lovely Christmas decorations. The house was warm, comfortable and clean. Its perfect for extended families and the area is great for the beach, pub and walks. Its a shame theres no second tv in the main living room but otherwise all was great. Apart from a desperate need for some more larger saucepans!
Victoria
Lovely spacious, well equipped and warm home. Plenty of room for 9 adults to relax, eat together and enjoy a stay in a wet blustery December. We did have 2 power cuts due to storm Darragh one lasted 4 hours but the candles supplied in the Chest of drawers in the hall proved a great help. We actually enjoyed the candlelight. No complaints.
Such an amazing property in a beautiful area. We had a wonderful time. Five friends on their yearly girls trip. The house had everything we needed. Only 2 small comments some slightly bigger mugs wouldve been nice & the shower dials in the first bedroom were very stiff but otherwise it was perfect. Thank you to the owner for letting us use their property & for the welcome items & to the housekeeper for maintaining the house to a high standard. Would highly recommend
Church Farm Barn is a fabulous rental property and we had the best time in this lovely house. As a group of 8 4 couples it was perfect in size having 4 ensuite bedrooms, a large kitchendiner, a separate TV room and a large lounge. Everything was modern and spotless. We loved the area as it was peaceful, with beautiful walks on the beach 5 mins from the house, a great local pub and within easy reach of Southwold and Aldeburgh by car. We would highly recommend it.
Alison
All rooms well presented. Everything that was needed was there Kitchen well equipped. Three families we had a great time Beach nearby RSPB minsmere great to visit walks from the property easy for all
This was perfect for our group of 10 adults. Great location and plenty of space for socialisingdining. Very well equipped kitchen.
Great property in a wonderful location. Just 5 minutes walk from the pub & about 8 minutes to the beach. Very well equipped with everything we wanted. Comfortable beds and everything spotlessly clean. The hob is a bit complicated & couldnt find the instructions. We got there in the end though! Would definitely recommend a stay here.
No mention off electric charging. Microwave was a bit high.
First class accommodation in a beautiful area. The accommodation has been very thoughtfully planned and is ideal for a party of 9 or 10. Super spacious kitchen and dining room, snugly tv room, large relaxing lounge with oodles of space, four beautiful bedrooms all with ensuites, and an upstairs twin bedroom ideal for the kids or teenagers with its own downstairs shower and toilet. Large entrance hall for all your foot ware and a laundry room to keep you clean. Superb design with private well equipped courtyard and games room to keep you amused. My family of three generations could not have asked for more. Add on the brilliant location with multiple walks from your doorstep, a pub and cafe down the road, plus the beach 10 mins walk away makes this place the best ever.
Fabulous, spacious, clean propertyensuite rooms a real bonus. Ideal location, near the beach, near a pub, cafes and off road walks. Our only issue was not having the tv in the larger of the two sitting rooms. There was only just enough room for 8 of us to sit and watch tv in the smaller lounge. Had the house been at full occupancy 10 it would not have worked. But apart from that the property was perfect for our needs.
Paulette
Fantastic property, outstanding facilities. Had a wonderful few days although the weather could have been kinder.
Excellent venue for 5 couples, although the upstairs bedroom is a little cramped. Beautiful, wellequipped kitchen and two spacious lounge areas as well as outdoor seating for all, both at a dining table and on comfy furniture. Brick BBQ too in the secluded courtyard. Minor issue quickly dealt with and only things missing were slip mats in bathshower areas. Can thoroughly recommend.
Excellent and luxurious property and very well appointed. Three small niggles 1. The windowdoors in the kitchendining area need safety markings. As the windows extend down to the floor and when the doors are open, it is not easy to tell which is which especially if you are carrying things. 2. The induction hob is quite a complex piece of kit and unfortunately the instructions for use have gone missing. 3. It is rather annoying that the extractor fan in each bathrooms is operated by the door being opened rather than by the light being switched on.
Elaine
This is a great place for a large family holiday. It has all been thought out really well and finished to a very high standard. Its spacious and comfortable with en suite bathrooms for all the main bedrooms. Lovely outside seating area too. The location is perfect for dog walks on the beach and many footpaths right from the doorstep. We have had a brilliant holiday and have booked again for next Easter.
Charis
Loved this house, we stay in Dunwich every year and have done for years and this house is amazing. The little touches are very welcomed. Will be rebooking x
A beautifully appointed property. It is obvious that a lot of time, effort, care and money has gone into the design, decor and equipping of the property. It is ideal for a large group and unusual to find somewhere that has 4 large double bedrooms all with their own en suite. Great location with numerous walks nearby, a long uncrowded beach, nice pub a short walk away We shall definitely be returning Cant recommend too highly
Muhitur
House was exquisite and set in a beautiful location. Amazing!
