Bottomhouse Barn Reviews

1010 The barn is stunning and had everything we could have possibly needed for a fabulous weekend away. We stayed here for a get together reunion. The house was perfect and had so much room, we were all very comfortable. The hot tub was wonderful and relaxing. The owner is friendly, knowledgeable and it was a pleasure to meet him. I would not hesitate to recommend booking Bottomhouse Barn for large get togethers and take full advantage of the rural location, beautiful views and fabulous facilities.
Lovely Barn Great Views Perfect! The cottage was clean, comfortable, super comfy beds, plenty of space for us all. We had the best gathering we could possibly wish for and the space was perfect! Couldn't have wished for anything else. The hot tub was a great addition to our holiday. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly. It was great to see the farm horse which was a lovely view in the mornings. Were already looking to book our return trip and would highly recommend to anyone wanting a tranquil, relaxed weekend. Many thanks, William

Good but could be great with a little investment no wifi in a modern day ... Good but could be great with a little investment no wifi in a modern day rental was frustrating, bed furniture, mattresses, bed linen and towels need urgent updating, felt all a bit budget beds squeaked, bent metal frames, bits falling off location, garden, kitchen, table, sofa area all great
Rebecca
Lovely house, well kept and comfy, nice surroundings and friendly hosts, had pretty much everything we needed some more dishwasher tablets would have been nice and perhaps some more loo rolls but other than that no complaints! Had a great stay and would come again
Colette
We had a lovely stay at Bottomhouse Barn. Henry was very welcoming and helpful. The house was really in a lovely area and great for family activities, family walks, cycling, and a theme park. The Peak Wildlife park was within minutes as was the RSPB nature reserve. A visit to Chatsworth House was worthwhile. As a family with various age groups we found plenty of things to do for all. The house accommodated us well and was clean and tidy on arrival. A couple of minor things, I would suggest maybe the kitchen may need a little attention the dishwasher wasn't very efficient, also the electric tripped a couple of times but we were able to access the fuse box in the kitchen. Our thanks to Henry am sure Bottomhouse will be enjoyed again in the future.

There was loads of room for everyone and we would recommend this place to anyone who wanted a family or close friend get together! Fav memories made.
The only problem was to find the cottage as the address in this page was not correct. For the rest, was amazing.
Lovely detatched cottage, perfect for my friends 50th birthday. Hot tub was lovely! Hosts were super friendly and helpful.
Bottomhouse Barn was perfect for our 3 generation family and friend weekend to celebrate a big birthday. Everything was great.
Amazing barn , had a fantastic holiday ! Close to lots of beautiful walks and attractions
Had a lovely time. Kids loved the garden and was a great area. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
We were a large family group, the accommodation was fantastic, plenty of room, seating areas were very comfortable. Bedrooms were spacious, beds comfortable. The kitchen area was very well equipped for large numbers, huge fridge, cooking range and plenty of pots, pans, crockery and utensils. The TV could be a bit bigger, especially as we were all watching the football.
Thank you for a lovely stay at Bottomhouse Barn. We stayed for my friends hen weekend, as a group of 13. We were all comfortable, and enjoyed the facilities on offer especially the hot tub! The owner was available for any questions or queries and was really helpful. We enjoyed paddle boarding on Tittesworth reservoir and lunch at The Lazy Trout. The surrounding countryside is beautiful with lots of walks nearby.

Booked Bottomhouse Barn for my 30th and couldnt have asked for more, it was exactly what I had in mind. Everything was lovely and clean, beautiful location, great wet room downstairs with large walk in shower, plenty of potspansplates etc. Hosts were lovely, so helpful and friendly and even came and cleaned and refilled the hot tub early morning while we slept. Thank you so much! Hopefully be back for the next 30th!

The Barn was in a nice location with beautiful views but the bed arrangement was not good enough. The stairs are too small for carrying our bags to upstairs. Not safe for elderly people to go upstairs.Good for youngsters and group.
We had a lovely stay at Bottomhouse Barn. The owner was really friendly and very helpful with providing additional amneities. The property itself was lovely and is situated in a stunning area, with lots of walks and outdoor activities to do nearby. We were a party of 12 and we all agreed that we would all thoroughly recommend.
Rhodah
The property was very spacious for the number of people however, the other shower upstairs bedrooms was not working so had to go to the downstairs wet room. The beds were very comfortable and everything else was perfect.
We had a wonderful weekend at Bottomhouse Barn, to celebrate my retirement with work colleagues. Henry came over to show us where everything was and how to use the appliances, he also answered any queries before arrival. There is plenty of information in the barn regarding walks, pubs and general information. The barn was super comfortable, super clean and cosy. The beds were very comfortable. It was extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The views were lovely from the kitchen, plenty of seating and with a lawn for games. Peaceful location, would highly recommend for a large party.
Came for a hen weekend with 12 prople. House is in a lovely area with great views. Very spacious area for alot of cars to park. House layout is very good. All amenities thought of in the kitchen, lots of utensils, cleaning products etc. The bedrooms are very spacious and work well with the layout. 2 bathrooms upstairs and one downstairs work well. The hot tub was lovely and sitting in there with the view was perfect. Only downside we found is there is no wifi there but signal is fine. The owners were brilliant in answering any questions beforehand and giving recommendations of restaurants nearby and also showing us around when we got there. Would definately recommend and stay here again.
Excellent property in a great location. Would highly recommend!

A wonderful time had by 3 families with young children. The host was incredibly welcoming and informative the property was great for us very well equipped and has fantastic views. Lovely base for visiting exploring the local area we particularly enjoyed Tittesworth Reservoir. Thank you for a really enjoyable stay.
We booked for a weekend in September for my friend's hen do group of 13 and had a brilliant time. The barn is lovely and the gardenview is beautiful if you're lucky with the weather the sunsets are stunning. The kitchen was really wellequipped and we made good use of the hot tub. Henry, the owner, was really thorough and explained how to use everything.
Beautiful accommodation and location. We were there for a hen do, and the host was very welcoming, allowing a few other family members to attend for the BBQ in the evening. Nearby highly recommend activities at Tittesworth reservoir and the Lazy Trout pub. Really good facilities at the barn and loved the hot tub. Highly recommend this place.
Jessica
Spent 3 lovely days here for my hen do. The accommodation and surrounding area is beautiful. Comfortable, warm, clean and spacious accommodation for me and 14 friends to celebrate. Amazing walks nearby and stunning scenery to enjoy from the hot tub. I didn't meet the hosts as friends arranged everything but they advised me they were friendly and helpful. Thanks for a lovely stay we hope to be back again in the future

We have just returned home after a lovely stay at Bottomhouse Barn for a ladies weekend away. Its a gorgeous place and very comfortable. Beautiful views when storms Eunice and Franklin werent obscuring the scenery! with patio doors which look out across the landscape. It was very easy to relax by the wood burning fire and everything was provided to light it. It was warm, cosy and very clean. We would definitely recommend starting here if theres a large group of you. All the extras were provided such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs, bin bags, condiments, and even a bag of ice! Charlotte
Fantastic stay for my sisters hen party. Will defo be returning one day. Henry was so helpful upon arrival with everything so thank you. What a lovely place to stay!
We have just got back from the Barn celebrating a Hen party. The barn is absolutely stunning and the pictures definitely dont do it justice, Henry was very welcoming and gave me guide on how everything worked. Lots of information in the barn about local places to visit etc, For anyone thinking of visiting definitely follow the instructions on the check in email rather than the sat nav as it is tucked away nicely. The barn was well equipped with towels, tea towels and the basics, washing up liquid etc no sweeping brush which would be a handy thing to add overall a brilliant weekend and definitely will be returning to Bottom House Barn.
Jennie
We stayed at the barn for 3 nights over New Year. The owner was lovely very helpful and left us a gift on arrival. The barn was spacious ideal for our large family and had all the amenities. Its was very clean. The views were beautiful and we enjoyed a walk into Ipstones. I would definitely recommend x
Everything was really comfortable and we had a great stay. The owners were on hand for any concerns & the property was really well equipped. The only issue that we had was that due to 2 power cuts during our stay the hot tub lost temperature & took time to heat back up & we didn't get to use it as much as we wanted we weren't offered a partial refund on this facility which was very expensive to hire for a weekend.
We had a fabulous stay at Bottomhouse Barn . The barn was perfect for our stay, in a great location and the owners were very helpful . We would love to come back soon !
Amanda
We had a fantastic break at the Bottomhouse barn and I would highly recommend this accommodation to others. We had a brilliant experience and we topped it off by hiring a private chef and private yoga teacher which is was stunning on the grounds.
Really lovely place to stay in a very quiet area. It was nice that the horses featured in the pictures are actually at the end of the garden and will come and say hi during your stay! The place was well stocked for 15 with enough kitchenware, bedding and towels for everyone and we enjoyed our stay.
Caroline
Beautiful converted barn. Very comfy beds. We loved the hot tub, even when the British weather let us down. Very well equipped kitchen, absolutely everything we needed. Helpful and friendly owner. Thank you
