Yew Tree Farm Barn Reviews

Geoffrey
Property was amazing Owner put up banners for my 60th Lovely touch Would definitely recommend
Excellent barncottage! Everything you could want to hand. V clean and comfy. Games room was v handy when the weather was poor. Would highly recommend.
Yew Tree Farm Barn is a lovely property, exceptional well maintained and lacking nothing at all for a wonderful, relaxing stay in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. If anything, the pictures don't do it credit and I'd recommend it to all. David, the owner couldn't do enough to help and made you feel so very welcome. A lovely stay ...
Not a holiday home! ,Please continue to read.It is in fact a home from home.well furnished all high end and quality, beds bedding, towels furniture etc, more than enough crockery and cutlery, fully equiped kitchen, lovely peacefull setting and rural surrounded by lovely villages, very good for multi generation stay.Main food shops are in Diss we found if you need to stock up there is plenty of fridgefreezer space as addittional space in washroom ,as popping to the shops takes over 12 hour just to get there. In an hour through lovely villages which was not a chore you can get to Great Yarmouth,Lowerstoft,Norwich which is a favourite of ours or just follow your nose and come across suprise beaches.Larger TV than shown and LOADS of dvds for movie nights. The owners re invest in their much loved property not just take the money and are very reponsive good luck for the future I say David as he was the owner I met and thank you from the Hagues
The accomodation suited us all the beds were comfy and every detail was thought about. Our grown up children and partners loved playing pool and using the games room. Thank you for the wine and crisps
Joanne
Amazing barn such great facilities The owners have really thought of everything And I mean everything! Loved the games room and all the other outside toys it was just perfect Thank you
We met the owner on arrival who gave us a very warm welcome. We were a family of 8 adults 1 baby and 2 dogs and the barn was perfect for our family Christmas. Beautiful decorations and very well equipped. The barn was very warm with plenty of hot water for all. Lovely remote location which is exactly what we wanted. Sofas were a little soft and warn but that does not spoil this lovely accommodation. Lots of games toys etc to keep everyone entertained. Thankyou so much and highly recommend.
Kenneth
We had a lovely welcome and treats from David. The barn was beautiful and cosy. It was well equipped if you wanted to cook. The games room is a plus to enjoy in the evenings. We had a lovely time exploring the surrounding areas.
Richard
Beautiful accommodation and facilities, perfect for a family getaway. Spacious and well equiped. The games room was an added bonus for all ages!
Wonderful weekend away, games room was a fabulous addition. Kitchen very well equipped we stayed in the downstairs double as it had a walkin shower really comfortable. Our two guests stayed in the room above us, which had a cool little balcony overlooking kitchen and living area. Met the owner on the morning we left such a lovely man. Highly recommended if you want to feel like youre completely away from any hustle & bustle.
My family and I had a most wonderful stay. Every little detail had been thought of, and provided, to give us the best experience possible. What an absolute treat. The best accommodation we have stayed in. Beautiful building and loved the layout. It really was something for everyone. We had a lot of fun there and created some very special family memories.
The barn was just amazing for all of our family to stay and the games room was a massive hit. The barn was so well equipped with everything you would need. The children loved all the games and toys, but not as much as the piano.we will be back sometime in the future a great place to stay with fabulous owners.
Kirsty
Yew Tree Barn was a lovely stay. We enjoyed the barn. With having young children, the grass opposite was not a safe space for them to run around as it leads straight onto the main road. The washroom was a lovely space to do washing and the extra fridge was very useful. The owners of the property were very welcoming, even displayed our county flag for our stay which was a lovely personal touch. The owners of the barn stay respectful of our stay and have maintained the property well, keeping it modern and have made adjustments over time. It's comforting to know the owners are local to the barn if anything is required.
We stayed here with another family and 2 wellbehaved! dogs for 2 nights and we couldn't fault Yew Tree Farm Barn. The barn was extremely well equipped, with everything you would need for a stay, and more. The beds were very comfortable, and the linen was clean and fresh. We used the snug for an additional bed sofa bed which was comfortable, though the lack of curtains for the high nearby window, did make for an early wake up! Location of the barn was great, the gated courtyard garden charming and great for dogsyoung children the grounds were nice and we briefly met the owner who was friendly and welcoming. Would thoroughly recommend staying here.
Joanne
The property was fantastic and met our needs. Set in a beautiful location it had everything you needed. The owners were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely go back.
We had a wonderful stay at Yew Tree Farm Barn. There was everything we needed for a perfect Retreat for a group of 6 ladies. Comfy beds with crisp white linen, fully equipped kitchen and country walks from the cottage. The whole house was spotless and the host David was excellent. The sunsets were fabulous! Highly recommend.
Andrew
Yew Tree Farm Barn is perfect for a family and friends gathering in our case for a wedding. Superb spaces to socialise inside and out the property has a great layout and everything set up for a relaxing stay. Plenty to do a short car ride away eg Framlingham and the Suffolk coast. Loved the flags announcing our visit. Nice touch.
Nicholas
So glad that we found this hidden gem. There were 7 of us and Frank the dog. There was plenty of crockery, cutlery and cooking pots and pans. The lads enjoyed the games room especially the pool table. We will definitely visit again
It was absolutely amazing, the barn is gorgeous. The owners go above and beyond to ensure that you have everything you need. This was the perfect place to have a surprise 70th Birthday celebration!! Can't thank them enough. We would definitely book again if we needed a big place to stay!
A lovely place for a week's holiday. The cottage is wellequipped. The only disappointment, given that the listing says it features an upright piano, was that the piano is so desperate for being tuned that it is unplayable.
Luckily we had great weather on our weekend break here but Id recommend this place whatever the weather. Its so well stocked you dont even need to bring games or entertainment which is brilliant if you have kids with you, especially the games room which we spent a lot of time in. We had a brilliant weekend away and would go back anytime of the year!. WiFigood, bedscomfortable, walks.beautiful, entertainment.great, Bbq.easy to use and yummy!. The local chip shop was a ten minute drive away and has amazing cod and chips. Just book it you wont regret it!
Michael
We had a fantastic break in this beautifully converted barn. The space is great, really well equipped and with plenty of space and facilities for everyone. The owners have clearly thought really carefully about making their guests comfortable and ensuring everyone gets the best possible stay.
We stayed at Yew Tree Farm Barn with our 2 teenage children and dog over the new year period and had a really relaxing time. The property was spotless, cosy and welcoming when we arrived, and it was lovely that the xmas decs were still up. It is a spacious, yet cosy property with a really well equipped kitchen. The 3 ensuite bedrooms were lovely and very comfortable. When we needed to get in touch with the owners about a couple of things, they responded immediately. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing time away in the beautiful Suffolk countryside.
Beautiful holiday home. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Loved the games barn for a game of pool. We celebrated my husbands birthday there. We will definitely be booking again next year as we enjoyed the peacefulness so much. Owner David very helpful when we contacted him about recycling If you're considering this property just book it before someone else does
Michelle
We have come back from a 6 night stay for our silver wedding anniversary, the barn is just beautiful and has everything you need for a comfortable relaxing stay, the host David was lovely and does everything he can to make your stay extra special. The games room was well used and very welcome on wet days, the courtyard is fully enclosed as they have a fence between the 2 large planters so fully safe for your dogs, our 2 dogs loved it and settled straight away, the courtyard is just for your use and not used by the adjoining property like someone on the reviews had said as the stables has its own garden,it can be used if you have a large family gathering and rent out both properties together which is exactly what I have done for next year to celebrate my 50th birthday so all the family can come and celebrate, my parents can have the stables if they want to go and relax on their own and get away from the madness they can
Beautiful cottage very well equipped. Lovely friendly hosts
Michael
This is a beautiful place in a rather splendid area. Lots of public footpaths nearby but if you want a pub then it's a short drive to the often recommended Dennington Queen. I digress, I was surprised this has been a let for so long as it is sill in a pristine condition. It is very well stocked with kitchen items even down to a Nespresso machine with capsules. Plenty of seating and games, games and more games both in the custom games room on the mezzanine floor. There is large size piece of land for dogs or kids to run around but it is not 100 secure on one side. Thee is a secure paddock but I don't know if that is for guests the owners live on site so you could always ask. They are very approachable and accommodating they didn't mind me building a radio antenna in the field! There is an additional fridgefreezer in the washroom has washer and tumble dryer too. We will certainly visit again.
William
The Barn is a splendid holiday home in a lovely peaceful setting. It has character and charm with great comfort and loads of space. The furnishings, fixtures and fittings and equipment are all of high quality. The separate utility room and games room are real bonuses as was the spacious and private courtyard. Lovely comfortable beds, immaculate cleanliness and excellent internet made this a perfect holiday let.
We had a great family holiday at Yew Tree Farm Barn. The photos don't do it justice! There was everything you could need, a thoroughly well equipped kitchen, loads of games, puzzles, dvds, even a piano! Dave was friendly and helpful and recommended a lovely walk for us through the beautiful countryside on our doorstep. Framlingham was close by and the castle provided a great afternoon. We would also recommend Bressingham, my 6 year old boy absolutely loved it there.
The property was lovely and characterful. We had a lovely stay. Our family of 3 generations enjoyed the facilities and surroundings. We cooked all weekend and the place had everything we needed apart from tongs! would recommend for larger families and groups alike. David & Kate were accommodating and checked in on us. Overall a wonderful stay.
Kerensa
A wonderful place and the owners have thought of everything. The barn house is beautifully decorated and equip with everything you could possibly think of. A very comfortable stay for a range of ages from 1170! Proper luxury! Absolutely loved the games room too. A truly memorable weekend thank you!
Geoffrey
We were five adults staying at the barn and found it very comfortable. There is everything you need for your stay. Bedding and towels top quality. Set in beautiful rural countryside. Would recommend without hesitation. A five star property.
Brilliant place to stay. Plenty of opportunities for Dog Walking. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and the owners had done the very best to make sure you couldnt want for anything else to make you comfortable. I hope I will have the chance to book again as the barn is a fabulous place to have a holiday!
The barn is superb however the listing does not explain that the courtyard garden is shared with another property. Sadly the other property had some maintenance work carried out at 8 am on one morning of our stay disturbing our sleep. Disappointed that the owner felt it was more important to get the other property ready for the new tenants rather than make our holiday perfect
It is a lovely barn conversion, with ample space for a family for 68 and it is pet friendly. It felt like home away from home but with a lot more greenery and well equipped sports room which the kids enjoyed. Well maintained and much recommended
Beverley
Had a lovely stay 5 adults 1 dog was lovely and clean and had everything you could possibly need the games room was a big hit would definitely book to come again.
Annette
This was a fantastic place to relax with our family, with plenty of space and everything we could need. It was great to have such a well equipped kitchen in which cooking for everyone was a joy. The owner was very friendly and helpful and made sure everything was OK for us. We will be back!
We were five adults staying for three nights. This is lovely property in a rural location. There is plenty at the property to keep you occupied, with a games room containing many indoor and outdoor games. A vast amount of music CDs and DVDs on offer. The property was clearly converted to a high standard and contained all that you require to cook. Given we stayed in December, although it was not freezing outside the property was plenty warm enough and had been decorated nicely for the festive season. Thank you so much, we had a great time.
Thoroughly enjoyable relaxing holiday. Lovely accommodation and brilliant hosts who looked after us very well. Would highly recommend. We would definitely book this holiday property again.
