West Burton Hemmel Reviews

Excellent property!
It was a beautiful house in a beautiful setting. Watching the wildlife on your doorstep is very relaxing. We left a positive review in the house just two small details. The shower in main bathroom was just luke warm and needs attention. And a shower mat for the on suit bathroom. It was very well equipped and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you

Excellent in every way. Comfortable with every facility, plenty of equipment and Beautiful views across the fields to keep immerse oneself in nature. Down a long unmade track but worth the drive. Midway between Bamburgh and Seahouses a beautiful part of the world. Cant wait to return.
Gillian
We had a fabulous week, the barn was just so peaceful and we very much enjoyed all the wildlife. Due to the weather being very hot the front door stuck a couple of times and needs some adjustment.
Excellent property in great location.
Michael
Extremely comfortable and well equipped property, situated in open countryside with wildlife viewable from the house but also within reasonable walking distance of both Bamburgh and Seahouses.
One of the best we have stayed in and we have stayed in many over the years. Surroundings were idyllic, beds extremely comfy and kitchen well stocked. Ideal location for exploring Northumberland and the Borders. Would definitely recommend and hope to return
Patrick
The accomodation was excellent. Location was like living in a remote area with wildlife outside window including deer, and within minutes be at the beach in Bamburgh and Seahouses or access the A1 main road. Everything required to live in moderen comfort was more than I would have expected. Just a small little extra bit of info, You could have parked 10 cars at the door. Loved it.
Wow, amazing location, beautifully appointed cottage everything you would need, without doubt up there with the best places I've stayed, wildlife from every window, highly recommended, 1010. A few recommendations to the owner would be a dryer, wet clothes nowhere to dry them, room heating was very hot didn't seem to turn down we were roasted for a week, but saying that we loved our stay.
Jacqueline
Had the best time at West Burton Hemmel what an amazing location if you want full privacy, peace and quiet with wildlife in the abundance. The facilities are so well thought out, everything you need. The only small feedback to improve would be an outdoor hose fitted to the tap to enable you to wash sandy or muddy paws boots, if your like me and paranoid about keeping your fury family clean it really helps! Not to mention room keeping your beautiful cottage in ship shape for many years ahead. We will definitely be booking again!
It was perfect clean and very comfortable with everything you need just wished it had separate microwave rather than combined cookermicrowave. Lovely views across the field with visits from deer everyday. Peaceful but close enough for visiting local area. After day of walking it was lovely to come back and relax with a bottle of wine.
Andrew
Very spacious and well appointed property. Gloriously quite and secluded but within 12 mins drive to the coast. We were lucky to have sunny weather during our stay. As there were no blinds or curtains on the main window and entrance, it was difficult to provide shade and heat control. There were 2 very good fans! May sound petty but we would have made more of the outside space if there was more comfortable seating outside. Still 5 star and very happy
Amazing peaceful stay at this property. Well equipped comfortable and everything we needed. Ideal for my mother who has limited mobility Ideal location for exploring the Northumberland coastline. The property was exceptionally clean and the layout and build has been well thought out. Thank you to the owners
The property is in a perfect location as it is so quiet, yet close to the coast. The property itself was very comfortable and wellequipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Matthew
Perfect property. Comfortable accommodation with plenty of space. Such a peaceful setting, saw multiple deershares just outside of the property in the evenings. Bamburgh roughly 5 minute drive with Seahouses around 10 minutes away for many amenities. Honestly cannot fault the property or location!
Spacious well appointed barn conversation suitable for all . Very quiet but not far from Bamburgh
Absolutely beautiful place. Everything has been so well designed, and finished to a really high standard.
Angela
Lovely cottage. Only my husband and I stayed but it was in an ideal location, close enough to Bamburgh. Our dog loved the freedom of the space outside the cottage. It was very peaceful up a dedicated lane with no close neighbours. During our stay, we saw a young deer twice and a hare just as we were sat during the evening.
