The Granary Reviews

This is our third stay in the Granary. It is our favourite holiday cottage. Very clean, well equipped and extremely comfortable. Whenever we come up to Northumberland this is where we'll stay.
We had a fabulous week at The Granary, Longframlington. It was a perfect location for us being peaceful and quiet. The property was spotless and had beautiful Christmas decorations throughout. Gillian made us most welcome and we felt very at home.
A wonderful holiday cottage. So happy in fact I am trying to book it again.
The Granary is of the highest standard in all aspects. We had a wonderfully warm welcome by the owner in person who provided lots of extremely useful information about attractions etc. in the area. The property contains everything you could possibly need and there is plenty of available car parking at the front. It is just outside Longframlington and away from any other properties and roads. Couldn't image a better place to stay.

A lovely cottage in a very peaceful setting. On arrival the cottage was spotless. A warm welcome from the owner, wine and cake was very much appreciated. The cottage is well equipped with everything needed for a lovely holiday. Our only concern was the mattress in the ensuite room isnt very comfortable. Also during our stay the WiFi failed and couldnt be provided. The owners explained the issue to us as they were in the process of changing providers. Overall a lovely place to stay in a quiet setting.
A well stocked property. Nice garden with parking. The welcome cake a nice surprise. Lots of information about surrounding area.
Everything was great, my only problem was getting out of the bath. The owners were great and sorted the T.V. very quickly. We could not fault anything.
A very comfortable and well equipped property. We enjoyed the welcoming gifts of fresh flowers, lemon drizzle cake, milk and a bottle of wine.
We both enjoyed our stay in this lovely property Steven & Gill the owners made us feel most welcome We loved the area this property was in walk down to see the horse talk to the dogs at the back door and the small village was handy for our shopping needs We ventured out daily to local towns had a visit to the zoo which we enjoyed immensely and would recommend a visit Because I have mobility issues I found the stairs a bit steep but that was my only problem and that is no reflection on the property. We hope we will be able to return, thanks for a most enjoyable stay. Regards Nancy & Billy Dunfermline, Scotland

We were all impressed with The Granary. There was everything we could possibly need and a lot more besides. Plenty of information about the area to plan day trips. Very comfortable beds and ensuites. A lovely time of the year to visit in May. Sightings of brown hares from the kitchen windows.
A fabulous place to stay. All the facilities you would want and so clean and tidy. Easy drives to a great many attractions. The hosts were very good. A nice table and chairs at the front on a sun trap was super. Tumble drier was a bonus.
An excellent venue and the owners went above and beyond to ensure our stay was excellent

The Granary is ideally situated to see the amazing sights of Northumberland. The owners are very welcoming and the cottage is clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked along with the bathrooms extra towels and dressing gowns. Despite the weather we had a wonderful weeks stay at the Granary.
The Granary was a great place to stay. It was spacious, comfortable and up to date with all the things we needed for an enjoyable holiday. There was ample parking and the property provided a great base for exploring the local area including the wonderful Northumbrian coastline. Our hosts were friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning sometime in the future. Many thanks. Ian & Alice
Fantastic property, spotless, excellent facilities, thoroughly enjoyed our stay
Jeffrey
We had a lovely stay in this very well appointed accommodation. The owner could not have done more for us and the bottle of wine was a generous gesture. The weather was terrific which gave us a super week.
Fabulous house, it would be an insult to call it a cottage. Better than any of the others we have stayed in over the years. Well equiped for self catering. Near to Wallington, Cragside National trust properties, plus coastal sites. A good base for walking and site seeing. Just a short trip to Alnwick, and Morpeth. A nice touch that a bottle of wine was left for us, and the owner called to see if we had all we needed. A place definitely to recommend.
Another return stay in this beautiful cottage. The Granary is delightful, extremely well furnished, spotlessly clean, with everything you need for a very comfortable holiday. The location is ideal for visiting all areas of Northumbria. Some very much appreciated Welcome touches and an attentive owner on hand nearby if necessary. Weve already booked again for next year. Thank you.
Gillian

Pleasant owners. Good facilities in a quiet country environment. Would recommend.
Excellent farm cottage in nice surroundings. Very clean and well stocked in all the right areas. Good location for Northumberland Coastal Villages & Castles. But beware of speed cameras in and around the village. Saying all that, a very good choice for a holiday break. Geoff & Elaine from Hawarden, North Wales

This is a first class property with all the amenities you could wish for. A real home from home
The Granary is in a fabulous location for touring and walking throughout Northumberland. Lots of coastal walks and castles nearby and Longframlington also has some lovely pubs serving good food. The owners are very knowledgeable about the local area and happily offer advice. Furnished to a very high standard and impeccably kept, its home from home and also set in beautiful quiet grounds. The welcome milk, chocolates, cake and wine only enhances the whole experience. Definitely one of the nicest cottages weve stayed in.
Pauline
We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at The Granary. The property is lovely, in a delightful rural setting we were amazed to find a hare on the lawn early one morning! The property was spotlessly clean and had everything you could wish for and all decorated to a high standard.Thank you for making us feel so welcome and for the milk, wine, cake and flowers. It was easy to visit Bamburgh with its amazing beach and castle, Alnwick, Seahouses, Warkworth Castle, Morpeth. We hope to return and highly recommend the property.
This was one of the best Sykes Cottages we have stayed in. The attention to detail was amazing and the owners had thought of absolutely everything to help us enjoy our holiday. The cottage is ideally placed for walks in the country and by the sea and lazy evenings were spent in front of the log fire. We really couldn't ask for much more.
Fantastic cottage in a great location
Quite simply the best UK holiday cottage we have stayed on. Decor, furnishings, equipment, cleanliness were exemplary. Pleasant welcoming touches, wine, milk, cake, much appreciated, especially after a long journey. We have already booked again for next year. Thank you for helping to make our holiday so enjoyable and comfortable.
Beautiful cottage in a peaceful relaxing environment. It was comfortable and welcoming. Excellent location for visiting other attractions in the area. Loved the welcome gifts and it was really helpful having milk in the fridge with tea etc... after a long journey. The owners are so friendly and helpful. We will definitely return
Frances
A lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. I would definitely book again.
Excellent base for local tourism. We felt very confident leaving older relative in the property when we had a longer day out. Very safe staircase and downstairs cloakroom.
Pamela
Had a lovely holiday the cottage was lovely and clean and very confortable , the owner was very kind and helpful. We would certainly recommend The Granery to other people.
Stuart
A very well appointed cottage with friendly welcome and nothing too much trouble to make the holiday enjoyable. We shall certainly return.
Fabulous accommodation great location highly recommend
I think the cottage is one of the loveliest I have stayed in. It is extremely well equipped and clean and the owners are next door and only too happy to help if needed which we didn't really need as everything worked and was to hand The location is good for travel to NT Cragside, the Northumberland coast and Holy Island is less than 1 hour away. Very easy to find things to do. Whilst the cottage is down a country lane it was so quiet, peaceful and enjoyable to sit out on the patio. I don't usually write reviews but I felt I must give credit where it's due. .
Stephen
Just a thoroughly lovely cottage in a peaceful location the best Sykes property yet. Hope to return at some point
