Stable Cottage is a Grade II listed barn conversion created from old farm buildings on High Lane Farm in Newbiggin-on-Lune, Cumbria. This upside-down property features beautiful oak beams and exposed stonework throughout, with the open-plan living space on the first floor showcasing original ceiling beams. The cottage sits in a quiet rural location between the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks, with lovely views across the Lune Valley and Howgill Fells.

The barn sits on a working hill farm with stunning scenery all around. Rolling countryside stretches in every direction. Footpaths lead straight from the door into the fells.

Two ground floor bedrooms sleep five guests. The family room has three singles that convert to a king-size double plus single. The second bedroom offers a king-size double that converts to twin beds. One bathroom has a bath with shower over. The first floor living area combines kitchen, dining and sitting space under those original beams.

Kirkby Stephen lies 6 miles away (10 minutes). Walk the old railway footpath to the spectacular viaduct nearby. Visit Sunbiggin Tarn for birdwatching (4 miles, 8 minutes). Sedbergh sits 12 miles away (20 minutes) for shops and cafes.
