Kirkby Stephen lies 6 miles away (10 minutes). Walk the old railway footpath to the spectacular viaduct nearby. Visit Sunbiggin Tarn for birdwatching (4 miles, 8 minutes). Sedbergh sits 12 miles away (20 minutes) for shops and cafes.
