Oak Cottage Reviews

Amanda
Oak Cottage was a warm, welcoming and v peaceful spot, a great base for trips into Llanidloes and the midWales area. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. The resource room is a great idea and theres shared knowledge and tips about walks, cycling, fishing etc from previous guests which we found really valuable, especially as we stayed for only a short time.
The cottage was lovely , well equipped, very comfortable in a beautiful location. If you like the quiet in a rural location this is for you. The hosts were a lovely couple who couldn't do enough for us. I feel we arrived as guests & left as friends. We will certainly go back as soon as we can. Simon & Helen
Lovely cosy cottage just off the beaten track. Everything you need for your stay. Loved sitting in the garden watching the wildlife. Well stocked kitchen with all the equipment needed. Lovely and warm cottage for those cold autumn days. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Nothing too much trouble.

Absolutely amazing stay, Our hosts were so kind and pointed out lots of things to do around Midwales! Really enjoyed, would recommend.
Really great place to stay the only slight criticism of ourselves is that we found the size of the shower cubicle a little challenging nothing that a determined effort to diet wouldn't fix! Very good and highly recommended.
Aileen
This was a fantasticf place to stay, we intend to go back again.

Lovely cottage in spectacular position overlooking fields .
Very friendly owners, views absolutely stunning. Approach to the cottage is very steep, ok in a car but a bit of a struggle for my asthmatic wife, but we are in Wales! Birdlife fantastic the owners have bird feeders and nest boxes everywhere. A very enjoyable holiday.
Location at the top of the hill is perfect for exploring. Owners are friendly & helpful with lots of recommendations of places to visit. Fantastic views, places to sit & enjoy watching the birds on the feeders. Cottage was cosy, immaculately clean with everything we needed. Small but perfectly formed, a lovely place for a couple to enjoy mid Wales. Thank you.
Our stay was fantastic. The hosts were lovely, the location perfect. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect holiday.

Lovely setting quiet with great views. G&T in the summer house was a great place to be.
The cottage is very small and facilities are basic. It was adequate for myself and my little dog, especially as we were out all day at our friend's house. Mrs Bough was very friendly and they have a good range of leaflets of places to visit. It should be made clear that there is no cell phone reception or Internet outside the cottage WiFi. The garden was a lovely spot had the weather been better.
Caroline

Great cottage with great location. The hosts were very friendly and always there to help with anything.
Elizabeth
Peaceful and relaxing. Great views from the property and plenty to do all around if you want to get away from it all. Lorraine and Frank are excellent hosts with a wealth of information. Our Cockerpoo loved it! Standard of cleanliness and general maintenance exceeded our expectations. Will definitely go again.
The parking at the accommodation is there however not outside of the property which can prove difficult with mobility issues. Lorraine and Frank are extremely welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. The view from oak cottage is incredible. The cottage has everything which you need for your stay. The birds, local wildlife and the girlshens are a welcome distraction in a rainy day. There is a beautiful garden with summer house, seating and wooden swing but unfortunately we had little chance to use it during our stay due to the weather.

Lovely relaxing holiday Great friendly and helpful owners of cottage
Such a friendly welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and they even recommended some nice walks. Highly recommend visiting here its worth the money!
Just need to keep on top of the boiler as the pressure kept dropping causing the hot water not to work. Apart from that the place was awesome.
