Cranberry Cottage Reviews

Fantastic place, very comfortable and well equipped. Great area to explore.
A wonderful little cottage in picturesque countryside and great views. It was very clean and tidy with everything we needed for a great weeks holiday. Very warm and comfortable
Barbara
I had a great time staying at Cranberry Cottage. The cottage was perfect for me and my dog. It had everything we needed a wellequipped kitchen, comfortable sofas in front of the fire and a beautiful window view. The location of Cranberry Cottage ensures plenty of walks in the area.
Gillian
Cranberry Cottage was perfect for us and our dogs. It is warm, comfortable, well equipped and very clean! It is in a beautiful location and perfect for walking and visiting local attractions. Another advantage is the accommodation is all on one level and there is spacious parking provided. Would definitely recommend and we are hoping to return.
The owners live nearby and are always ervy helpful.
Location was excellent for walks, lovely views. Everything we needed was supplied in the cottage. Great for dog walkers.
A perfect get away destination. Very rural and peaceful. The property has all amenities you could need. Lots of info available about the many local things to do. Katie is always available and the change over is simple.
Wonderful short break break, only negative was that we went in a heat wave so couldnt go out much as it was too hot for our dog! Would love to return again for longer and in winter months so we can properly explore the area and make use of the log burner. Cottage was clean, tidy and well equipped, we did bring our own fan as there was not one at the property but I would guess for majority of stays a fan would not be needed.
This was our first time in a cottage we are campers for4050 years but age has made us give that up and holiday in comfort now cranberry cottage was fantastic all on one level would like a shower mat as found shower floor slippery but everything else was top notch we thank you we hope to return soon would recommend to everyone Jan guy Curtis.
A comfortable cottage with everything you need. It's in an excellent location, especially if you are doing lots of walking. Easy to find just off the main road so you don't have a long single track road to drive down like a lot of other properties.
Another great stay at Cranberry Cottage, this time with our dogs. Good location for exploring Shropshire. The dark sky is amazing when clear at night.
Angela
Great place to stay and a wonderful view from the lounge window. Katie was very helpful and friendly.
Absolutely beautiful property and lovely host. We had the most amazing few days at Cranberry cottage. The cottage is beautiful and very comfortable. Incredibly clean and spacious. We will absolutely re book!
Absolutely lovely, everything we needed,we felt so at home . Good communication if we needed anything , will definitely return
The cottage itself is very lovely. Is well equipped for everything you'd need for your week away. There's a welcome chalkboard with all the relevant information you'd need, however unlike 99 of Sykes Cottages there isn't a welcome pack ie tea, coffee or milk It's an incredibly easy place to keep clean if you take your four legged friend with and walks a plenty just up the road. However visitors should be aware you can't let your dog off a lead when in the 'garden' part of the property. So if you were to visit in the warmer months and wanted to sit out this is something to have in mind. Think it might be an easy fix on the owners behalf by putting gates at the entrances. We unfortunately didn't get a chance to meet Kate on our visit but she was more than helpful on the phone before we arrived and had we had any problems I wouldn't have hesitated in giving her a call and asking her help. Would recommend.
We had a great time. Everything was comfortable and clean. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
My cocker spaniel had a lovely time as usual. The scenery is absolutlely lovely.
Perfect cottage in a lovely location. Open plan living area, comfortable bedroom and ideal shower room, all in one level. Beautiful scenery with lots of nearby walks. Definitely want to return.

Judith
A beautiful property with everything you need for a stay. Plenty of information regarding what to do and see. Great dog walks around the forest from the doorstep. Stiperstones definitely worth a walk. Quiet enough to sit outside but comfortable to sit inside too. The property is situated within driving distance of many places. We visited a number of National Trust properties whilst there. Well worth the membership if that's your thing! Farmer's market on a Friday down the road was amazing! We would definitely return to this property.
Gillian
The cottage was very comfortable with a fabulous view. Katie was very friendly and helpful.
Gwilym
Owner was friendly and helpful.
Cranberry Cottage is hidden away in a beautiful part of Shropshire and the views are amazing particularly from the lounge living room framed by a huge window. The cottage is modern, clean and well equipped for everything and the owner is there if you need her and was very welcoming, even to the point there was new garden furniture and because the weather was so good on first day, it was all laid out ready for me when I got back which was a nice surprise. Shelve has beautiful walks and woodland trails in the forest which I really enjoyed, some phone signals are not good there so if with O2 be mindful that you only have the WiFi for communication. I have rated top marks for everything, maybe a little welcome pack, milk, biscuits would be good as the shop is a drive away would add to the experience as with most sykes cottages.
We had a lovely week at Cranberry Cottage. It is really clean, comfortable and so peaceful. The weather was still quite chilly for springtime but the cottage was always really warm even without using the log burner. It is situated in a lovely area and we did lots of great walks including Stiperstones, Caer Caradoc and Carding Mill Valley which are all very close to Shelve. We had our dog with us and there is a grass area across the courtyard where he could be off lead but dogs need to be kept on lead whilst in the other areas. We would recommend bringing a good torch if you have a dog as it is very dark at night. We found the sofa's and bed to be very comfortable and the window looks out over the fantastic countryside with great views. We would recommend Cranberry Cottage and would definitely stay there again if visiting Shropshire.
A delightful holiday cottage! Cranberry Cottage is a warm, spacious and extremely comfortable place to spend a relaxing holiday. Spotlessly clean and in a wonderful location with amazing views and plenty of opportunities for walking and sightseeing. The nearby Stiperstones Inn with its very friendly atmosphere and excellent food and drink is a must for several visits. Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Highly recommended.

Couldn't fault this property or it's location. It was clean and cosy and had everything I needed for my stay. It's position near Stiperstones is great for some fantastic walking. All round I'd honestly say Cranberry Cottage was excellent and I look forward to returning.
Lovely cottage, the open plan nature of it made it seem very spacious. Very warm and cosy, we didnt use the log burner even in January. Super view from the lounge window over to The Stiperstones when you could see them , we werent exactly blessed with good weather.
Lovely location and cosy accommodation. Would of preferred a fire guard as would of loved to light the log burner but with 2 dogs I was concerned for their safety. Overall a lovely stay and would return in the future.
Georgie my cocker spaniel and I had a lovely time. The cottage was just right for the two of us.Ver comfortable and the view from the lounge window perfect.
We loved our stay at Cranberry Cottage, the perfect cosy retreat. We had a mix of weather but it never spoiled the stunning scenery. The cottage is well situated for great walks and trips out, Ludlow, Montgomery and Much Wenlock are a real treat. Would definitely recommend a stay.
Beautiful property set on a farm, in the hills, in a small hamlet. The perfect getaway. The owner and her family were lovely, and extremely helpful. The cottage had everything I needed for a relaxing and much needed holiday. The weather was a really bonus! Stunning forest walks nearby and fab location for exploring the ShropshireWelsh borders. Thank you Katie & family.

The place was very nice but no welcome bottle of wine or biscuits nothing never saw anyone to welcome in the whole time we were there no one came to ask was everything ok that was the only thing that we felt was wrong otherwise it was fine there
Gwilym
We had a lovely time, nice and peaceful and in a good place to enjoy the surrounding countryside.
This holiday cottage is as described as above. The only suggestion that can be made is to provide a shower matt and or grab rail in the shower. This would provide much better safety particulary for older users.
