Cherry Pips Reviews

Christine
Beauiful cottage just big enough for 2 pp and a dog we had lovely few day x
This cottage was lovely inside with everything we needed. Well equipped, with a comfortable mattress and clean loungekitchen area. The owner John greeted us with keys and lots of information about the area and places to visit. Also a lovely welcome with tea, coffee, sugar and milk. This was a nice let, easy to access and within reach of many Lincolnshire towns and village's. Our two dogs were made welcome and had access to the pasture which allowed them a little freedom after being cooped up on the car journey. Would certainly book again.
Anthony
Lovely peaceful little cottage. Would go again.
Elizabeth
A lovely little place to stay, very clean and comfortable. Just perfect for getting away from it all
Sweet little cottage everything you need for a short stay. On one level, front door very low, adequate kitchen although there was no saltpepper cooking oil., but there was milk, tea and coffee. The small cottage garden had a low wall around it, nice to sit out on sunny days, plus there as a large grassed paddock used for touring vans suitable for dogs. There is a Coop store within a drivable distance. Also a cafe at a fishing lake open during March to October, Mablethorpe has an amazing golden beach, plus the seal sanctuary is definitely worth a visit, as is the town of Louth. A vehicle is essential as the cottage is surrounded by countryside.
A lot of Sykes cottages are now ridiculously priced. This one is very good value, and we would recommend it. The accommodation is small but the layout has been very well thought through. For example, the bedroom manages two bedside cupboards and a sizeable wardrobe as well as the double bed. The mattress is comfortable, the pillows are a little lumpy. The bathroom has a good shower not shown in photos. The living area feels quite spacious, and the kitchen is ok too. The heating and hot water are generous. Just a few minor issues. Dont bring a lot of fridge stuff the fridge is small, and the door wont take 4pint milks we brought three, so two went in the little freezer!. The crockery is out of date e.g. no bowls , and not marked microwaveable it has a decoration that might be metallic, so we didnt dare use it in the microwave and had to improvise. The bottom element in the oven does not seem to be functioning, but the oven will heat with just the top element. Youll need handwash, paper towels, and more toilet rolls one was provided. There is an infrequent bus service through the village, between Louth and Mablethorpe. Walking through the flat and fenny landscape, on a fine day with big sunny skies, is easy and pleasant. There are few footpaths, but once youre off the B1200 the lanes are very quiet. Everywhere is haunted by the ghosts of lost agricultural communities. The sands north of Mablethorpe are huge and empty, with lots of small car parks in the dunes. The week passed quickly.

Perfect cottage for a solo traveller and dog. Very well equipped. Spotlessly clean. Comfy bed and sofa. Dog Friendly, throws for the sofa and towels provided. Nice little enclosed garden. Lovely hosts. Central for exploring the area and a short drove to the beaches. Would recommend and would definitely book again.
A beautiful property with lovely hosts. Quite walks round the property and down the lane. Lots to see and do. Supermarket quite near by. Would thoroughly recommend this cottage for a couple and a
Beautifully maintained, well equipped cosy cottage. Made to feel very welcome by the owners providing helpful information about the area as well as by the welcoming gifts and homely feel of the place. Very dog friendly and we enjoyed making use of the enclosed cottage garden as well as having the opportunity to walk our dogs on adjoining land. This was our first trip to Lincolnshire and found this a good location for exploring and would certainly return to Cherry Pips again.
Excellent cottage, great host's very helpful as we had a puncture and one of our dogs needed to see a vet. The bed was extremely comfortable.
It was a lovely cottage really homey but as my hubby is 6ft 6 & I have bad arthritis in my knees & foot we found the bedroom & bathroom a bit too small for comfort. That is just us though and we would certainly recommend the property. Owner was really friendly & we had a good time.
Andrea

Lovely little compact cottage, enough room for us two plus our Cocker Spaniel, Toffee. Only one minor point is that the fridge has a freezer section so the chilled part is a little small had to keep rotating beerwine

Lovely little place. We had a short break there and was highly delighted. The dogs enjoyed their morning walks around the paddock as well. Never known a place to provide throws and towels for the dogs what a lovely touch, and a welcome pack of tea coffee etc with biscuits, another lovely touch. Richard
Cherry Pips is a sweet little cottage, perfect for a short break. Everything was clean & well provided, but for a longer stay direct access from the cottage to the garden for the dogs would of been easier.
Lovely cottage that provided everything we required. Helpful owners if you needed anything. Wonderful stay & will hopefully return again next year. Our doggies loved their stay too. Would highly recommend.
Patricia
A lovely little cottage in a great location, a short drive to any number of beautiful beaches. The owners were great, nothing was too much trouble for John. The facilities were fine, if I had to nitpick, the oven and the cutlery could do with changing. I had the oven on at the correct temperature and a pizza should have taken 18 minutes after 30 minutes it still wasnt cooked. I would still highly recommend this cosy little cottage though and would return.
A very cosy, comfortable cottage. Everything you need is provided together with a greeting from John and Collette. We will definately staying again as soon as we can. Barry and Rod.
Our holiday at cherry pips was amazing from start to finish, when we first arrived there, it was amazing, a quaint small cottage that was in a location of beauty with surrounding beautiful countryside and lovely people, the cottage was beautifully clean and a welcome pack, the bed was very comfortable and comprised of a onsuite shower and toilet which was also very clean, we had a lovely time and went out everyday to visit different places and we had fish and chips that was mobile every Tuesday and they were delicious, i would recommend, there was onsite wifi which was easy to install and had a tv if you decided to watch during the night time or day time which ever you chose, i would recommend cherry pips to anyone as john and his wife are very lovely people who welcomes you and leave you to get on with your holiday but they were there if you needed anything, you will not be disappointed, please go to cherry pips cottage, your stay will be most enjoyable. Jamie and teresa x
