Bwthyn Y Wennol Reviews

Pradeep
We had a lovely stay at this cottage! It was very clean, tidy, and well maintained. The whole family really enjoyed it, and it felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend!
Lovely property. Beds and pillows really comfortable. Great having on suite bathrooms with each bedroom . Well equipped kitchen. The only thing I would say is the ice box needed to be defrosted. Great TV with all catch up channels. The owners were very friendly and the bottle of prosecco was a nice touch. Would definitely visit again.
Rebecca
A comfortable pleasant place to stay. Good access to the fantastic countryside. Lovely holiday.
Stephanie
It was a lovely cottage, it was very handy having 2 bathrooms. There were plenty plates and glasses but no scissors. You will need to bring your own washing up liquid, coffee, tea etc. I know some cottages have supplied these items when we have stopped in other cottages. Apart from that we had a great stay.
We enjoyed our time here in the Cottage. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. The Swallows flying around were amazing, quiet and peaceful setting. Had a problem with Cooker, in 15 minutes it was resolved by Lynsey the Owner. It would help if in the Welcome pack, there was instructions for using 1. The Cooker, 2, The Washer, 3, dishwasher, although we don't use one, and 4 The Shower. This is a suggestion by no means a criticism. Basic equipment, we needed a colander, roasting tin, shower mat we brought one, after finding that people took them home, Husband has a foot injury, so was frightened of slipping. I cannot do without a washing up bowl, personal preference. We would certainly go back to this Cottage, beautiful area, lovely farm and best of all, friendly welcoming owners. Lynsey you were amazing. Hope to see you soon.

The cottage itself was lovely, there were just a few minor issues. The extractor in the front bathroom did not work . Curtains in front bedroom need hanging corrctly one end was fastned on with the string as hooks into rings were missing Also there was a mop but no bucket Floors needed a good sweep especially the stairs and under the beds
Barbara
Good position for visiting North Wales. Property clean and comfortable. Could do with a little maintenance in places. Anyone booking this property bring all the essentials and you won't be dissapointed as it is lacking in what we have been provided with in other properties. A shelf in the ensuites to put your toiletries would be useful and somewhere in the shower for your shampoo and shower gel. Would also be useful to have more than 4 mugs.
Angela
Wow!! Incredible ! Superb! I am so pleased with cottage and the hosts. Lovely thoughtful hosts The views are overwhelming Im originally from North Wales moved to Canada in 1982 come back every few years And this time with my daughter and Ive never been happier. The cottage was apart of an adventure that she and I shared. The cottage made the trip that much better Thank you from the bottom of my heart
Michelle
Lovely cottage on a lovely working farm loved listening and seeing the cows. Very friendly owners. We had a problem on our first night with the tv so next morning Lynsey came to sort the tv and as we got back that day it was done
Lovely place to stay. Really comfortable, with a surprise welcoming drink. Had a fantastic time and would recommend as a place to stay
Rachael
Overall a nice property in a great location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, however there were a few niggles the travel cot which we requested was missing from the property when we arrived, the tv remote was not working so we couldnt use the tv for a day until it was replaced, and we discovered that one of the bedside draws had been left full of used tissues.
Shirley
I have enjoyed my third stay at your cottage, and once again I have been lucky to enjoy some lovely weather and have enjoyed sitting reading outside the cottage enjoying its tranquil setting in the countryside.
This house was a perfect base for our visit and to go and see the horses was an added bonus.
Andrea
We have stayed 4 times now and love it. In the past we have had oven cloth and teatowel provided, so didn't take any, luckily we don't do any cooking while away, just have breakfast. Was also looking forward to the little food basket that we have got in the past, but the wine was a nice touch. Thank you for a lovely stay and we will be back soon.
What a beautiful place. ...a real home from home with it being on a working farm there was something going on all the Time, the area was great too everyone was so kind and friendly, we loved it so much we have booked it again in September. Allan and Karen Jackson
Had a great stay at this beautiful cottage and will definitely return again. Only thing I could fault was that the kitchen couldve been more equipped. Ie oven trays, washing up liquid, tea and coffee. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
Nice place at a reasonable price.
Sharon
This was our third year in a row at this lovely cottage. It is very well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Everyone on the farm is very friendly too. Its an excellent base for exploring North Wales with easy access to the A55 Expressway and there is plenty to do in the area. We will definitely return sometime, we really love our holidays here.
Andrew
Lovely stay! We left having had a brilliant week in a fantastic rural property. A few small bits of feedback. 1 WiFi was very intermittent with none of the smart TV services connecting 2 The showers were incredibly noisy downstairs 3 Not enough glasses 4 Very blunt knives in the kitchen an accident waiting to happen 5 No instructions for the appliances we worked them out through trial and error but instructions would have been easier. None of the above affected our stay very much at all.
No hanging facilities in front bedroom small wardrobe would be good.
Cottage was in a nice location but lacked general items. No trays or oven proof dishes to use the oven kettle burnt your hand as it leaked steam. Through the handle. Some doors had warped so didnt close. One bedroom had a skylight with no shade so room was full of light at 5 in the morning Had leak on first morning reported this but next they Im mopping this up before breakfast Final straw was ants all over the living room With a small baby this is not acceptable when I informed the landlord we were leaving there was no sorry just I will have to have a look at it.
Gillian
Such a fabulous place we have already booked again for next year which is a first for us ! Very comfortable sitting room, bedrooms and well equipped kitchen with the only shortfall being no baking trays or ovenproof dishes.
The cottage was in a perfect spot to explore the North Wales coast. We enjoyed walks up Great & Little Orme, Aber Falls, around Betwsycoed, Conwy Castle & of course Llandudno prom. The cottage itself was home from home, perfect for 2 friends to enjoy peace & quiet, each with our own personal space of double bedroom with ensuite, a well equipped kitchen & dining area and a cosy sitting room with a large TV for the football!. The supermarket in Abergele was perfect to stock the weeks supply. A surprise basket of goodies was so appreciated on arrival. We would certainly recommend these cottages for families, two couples or like us two friends wanting to visit the area. Thankyou for our chilled out stay in your lovely home.
Ronald
A really nice property in a stunning location. Owners were really helpful and friendly.
Sharon
This is our second year visiting this lovely cottage. It is finished to a very high standard, well equipped and spotlessly clean. We love staying on a family run working farm. We enjoyed our welcome pack of local produce once again. There is plenty to do in the area and there are books, games etc to borrow too. Weve already booked for next year!
We both families had a great stay at Bwthyn Y Wennol. I contacted Catrin later than I should have done day before arrival to confirm on arrival time etc and she was very understanding and helpful. The rate was extremely competitive, the roomsbathrooms were very clean and all of the required amenities were in place. I would certainly use Bwthyn Y Wennol again, highly recommended!
Really enjoyed our stay, owners very welcoming and friendly, property was clean and nicely decorated. Only thing we would suggest for comfort wise, would be new sofa's, as the present one is probably past its best
General cleanliness excellent and good showers. Decent t.v. Cooker etc very good. Lacks a little in pots and pans but we coped ok. After we bought a chopping board and a baking tray. So the cottage has those now. Could do with a frying pan as the existing one is small and for some reason I never fathomed doesnt conduct heat on the electric hob . All in all a lovely place to stay. The flying displays from the swallows was delightful and so nice to see the calfs in the paddock.
Cottage was really nice very quiet area and close to everything we wanted to see definitaly will be going back
The cottage is done to a very high standard. Lots of added extras which was really nice the only thing o would have liked was baking trays as there was only one but apart from that we had a fantastic time and would definitely return
The property is lovely and was very clean. The owners provided us with a lovely Christmas basket of goodies and milk, tea etc was provided as well. The only issues were there was a leak from the shower pump and a dripping tap in the kitchen and it wasn't possible to link up to the smart TV. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone.
We had a brilliant few days away was a lovely cottage very clean and plenty of ... We had a brilliant few days away was a lovely cottage very clean and plenty of plates cutlery etc everything we needed for a very comfortable stay defo going again
Sharon
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage. It had everything we needed, was comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had never stayed on a working farm before and enjoyed the experience. The welcome basket of local produce a lovely touch. There is plenty to do in the area and games, jigsaws and books were provided too. We will definitely book again and would highly recommend Bryn Ffanigl Ganol
Lovely cottage and location. Really enjoyed our stay. Some of the saucepans could do with an upgrade.
Very friendly hosts, more space for large family get together than expected. more outside space for children to play. Some of the cottages lacked simple items eg chopping boards, colander, baking trays. It worked extremely well as we had booked all 4 cottages and moved easily, using baby alarm enabled us to all meet together for the evening
Clean and cosy cottage in a lovely, peaceful location.
Richard
Great holiday cottage on a working farm which the kids loved watching the passing tractors and farm animals, safe location for the kids to play outside in front of the cottage. Perfect location for exploring the coastline and many beaches of North Wales.
Sandra
The plumbing very noisy and the fan in the bathroom whined for ages after bathroom used on the back bedroom which echoed and reverberated in the front bedroom. However it was lovely and warm when the heating was on so would be comfortable to stay in in the winter, just need to get the bathroom problems sorted
