Beudy'r Wennol Reviews

Lovely converted barn, great facilities and location to explore North Wales area. Loved the hot tub and fireplace. Would have been good to have some direction info regarding rubbish recycling. Some mats at the property entrances would be a good idea front and rear Otherwise Fabulous stay, really enjoyed it thank you so much.
Fantastic place, well furnished. Good place to stay and access places in North Wales. Hot tub perfect. Excellent size for 6 people, safe for the little ones to play both in and outside. The only thing that could have been improved on for us was the parking, not easy in the dark for a disabled person, reversing with hand controls. Would definitely come again. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
Absolutely beautiful barn conversion ! The mixture of the gorgeous stone wall, wooden furniture & simplicity of the clean white especially with the bedding is so aesthetically pleasing. Loved the pale tan couches which were so comfortable. The outdoor seating areas were perfect in the back garden & also to the side with the hot tub situated under cover, really enjoyed a few glasses of fizz watching the sun go down. The games room is a great bonus to the property especially with a mixed age group & teenagers. I contacted the owner a few times and she was very lovely & helpful. I would highly recommend this holiday home, so peaceful in the Welsh countryside. My only slight negative is that we felt a little welcome pack would be beneficial, nothing fancy just essentials like teabags, milk & bread & a bottle of wine. Beautiful home & surroundings.
Loved our stay the house was amazing and in a great location. We only had a few little details which you may want to look at for next visitors. There was no sponge for cleaning dishes and no dishwasher tabs for the machine not everyone has a dishwasher and maybe doesn't want to buy a whole box to then leave behind. There was also no pegs for the washing line which would have been handy. The bedroom with the ensuite could do with a blind in the bathroom and the curtain to be able to come right across as unfortunately where the censor is for the outside lights gets set off very easily whenever someone comes in or out of the house nextdoor and then lights up the whole room. We were lucky noone was in the house next door until our last night as this would have been a bit annoying. Other than this little things we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back
Angela &Brynn are superb hosts, very welcoming and the property was spotless & finished to a very high standard. Any minor issues were resolved very quickly we pointed out there was a wasp nest and pest control was there next day to resolve The house had most of the things we needed for a home from home holiday,my only suggestion,as a keen cook are a few items that could be added to the kitchen Such as a pair of tongs,a whisk and a separate cutting board for bread. We travelled with 2 adults with learning disabilities and they both loved the house, especially the hot tub and pool table When I mentioned to Brynn that one of them always wants to look at the salt pot and there wasn't one he came back with a beautiful cruet set that Angela had just bought and it made his day! So Thankyou both for going above and beyond ! Hope to pay you a visit again in the future.
Elizabeth
An incredible find! What a wonderful place to stay! Stunning barn, in a beautiful location.

Overall, we had a great time. In our opinion, the towels should be changed at least once a week. This never happened. Also, there is a log burner and a barbeque, but the provided wood is for one fire. The guests might be advised regarding this. For the amount we paid, we expected a bit more attention to the small details.
Absolutely beautiful property in gorgeous surroundings, lovely welcoming food hamper on arrival. Hot tub was great used every day. Great location, Snowdon mountain 1520 min drive away, Whistling sands beach a bit further, Anglesey, the beautiful Caenarfon castle 10 min away, lots of beautiful beaches a short drive away. Loved it, hosts Angela and Bryn welcoming and very helpful. The only niggle was the bedroom with ensuite didn't have any storage so lived out of suitcases.
Lovely spacious property, good to have the pool table darts room attached to the property, and the hot tub was at a constant warm temperature. Really nice location. Would definitely return and recommend to others. My only suggestion would be maybe a few more bits in the kitchen, pasta bowls, sieve, tongs etc Just because I do like to cook for half the holiday. Also a mop, just to mop up drips from coming in from hot tub. Overall a definite 55
The cottage was advertised as having wifi however the wifi didn't work at all. When we asked we were told this was because the cottage was in the countryside, however we have stayed at similar places before which do have wifi. I don't think that these days it can be 5 star without good wifi. We were unable to watch Netflix etc on the smart TV and there was no DVD player provided. The hot tub was lovely and the cottage was well placed for driving to different places.
Angela
This lovely cottage feels really special. Its so peaceful yet close to local attractions. The cottage is beautiful inside, very comfortable and clean and the underfloor heating kept all the rooms and living areas warm. Our highlight was the hot tub. We loved it! The weather was mixed during our stay but the hot tub is lovely and warm whatever the weather. I can imagine this property is even more of a pleasure in the summer months. We would definitely recommend it and would return.
The cottage was beautiful, very clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub was also brilliant after long days out walking and exploring! We would definitely book this place again.
Elaine
Would appreciate some matches or something to light the log burner we went looking for matches but there wasnt anything open. Only a small thing but it would be a nice gesture apart from that it was perfect
Weve just returned from an amazing stay at this beautiful cottage, Angela was lovely, its in a perfect location to explore snowdonia and the hot tub is very welcomed after climbing all day, I would highly recommend staying here and I would absolutely return for another stay. Thanks Angela!
Richard
We really enjoyed our stay. The property is immaculate, well furnished including good outdoor seating...a first I can tell you! And very well situated...a quiet location but right near the A road meaning nothing is too far away. Dinas Dinlle beach was a real find as well, it's beautiful. The facilities in the property are excellent, with a lovely kitchen and utility room. Bryn and his wife were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we could possibly need.
Fabulous cottage fabulous area. hot tub fantastic. owners very welcoming. games room great. just everything you want from a break.. away. could not ask for better.cleanliness 100. was complimented on how clean we left it which was very nice. leave as you find
Jonathan
Thank you for a fantastic stay, very peaceful and relaxing. Loved the hot tub and the facilities. There were only a few very minor points that would have been nice due to the hot weather to have been able to open the bifold doors and because there are doors not windows bedrooms it can get hot at night so fans would have been nice. Also some hangers on the back of the bedroom doors would be handy to hang towels if sharing bathroom or dressing gowns.

Great place ,location and stay. One of our best cottage experiences big thanks to the owners!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. I would just ask that Sykes Holiday Cottages provide a map of the exact location as directions are not clear. Failing that provide what three words location of the cottage
We had a fantastic break in Beudyr Wennol. Angela and Bryn both went out of their way to make us feel welcome and the property has been set up to a really high standard, we strongly recommend it as a holiday venue. So much so that were thinking of going back next Christmas!
Jennifer
A beautiful house, warm, clean and comfortable with lovely extra facilities and in an area with plenty of interesting places to visit. The family particularly enjoyed the hot tub. The welcome goodies were much appreciated. The only minor issues were that we would have liked slightly more and better kitchen knives and a couple of midsized Pyrex style casserole dishes. However we strongly recommend this property and may well try to book another visit.
Property was very good The owners were brilliant and went out of there way ... Property was very good The owners were brilliant and went out of there way to make our stay a relaxing and comfortable 7days
Beautiful spacious cottage and great location for a family holiday. We were very impressed with everything provided in the cottage and would highly recommend staying there.
Second time here. It's amazing. Very clean, very spacious, feels incredibly safe, the games room doubles as a superb body board SUP and MTB store. The kitchen is fully fitted out. The bedding is lovely. The owners are very friendly, are local and happy to help out. The new road system &402022&41 means it's now only 20 mins to Llanberis. My family and I have had some of the best holiday times of our lives staying at this place.
Richard
Superb property. High standard, tasteful accommodation with an extremely responsive and pleasant owner. The house is simply excellent, enhanced by wonderful gardens and surrounds. It has been modernised and decorated to a very high standard. It was an excellent base from which to explore the area and, with young children to consider, its many beaches. It was a haven to return to in the evening with its lovely BBQ area and, of course, the hot tub. All the basics are there ample fridge and freezer space and a handy utility room. Plentiful bathroom and shower spaces. I have absolutely nothing negative to say, not even a would be even better if . . We loved it.
A lovely property in a perfect location I would thoroughly recommend.
It's a lovely place in a lovely location, very clean and with all the facilities we needed, including a laundry area. The hot tub was superb! One minor thing the curtain in the en suite bedroom did not fully close, and as it was June we had a few early starts. Otherwise, excellent!
We had an excellent week. Lovely cottage. Comfortable. Very well presented. In a great spot. Tranquil but not too far away from amenities and sights. Close to beach. Bonus of the hot tub. Great owners. Will definitely be back.
Style over substance. Just a few comments. Using 1 curtain in 2 of the bedrooms didn't cover the window. Mornings in May begin very early without sufficient curtain cover. The ensuite room lacks any clothes storage except a coat hooks. We lived out of a suitcase for a week. Very disappointing and the standard we expected. The furniture is of high quality but far too big for the space you have to shuffle past the end of the bed to get to the other side. The glass doors face into the parking area and next doors parking!! a voile or privacy blind would be appropriate. The hot tub is a great addition to the property, but thought again to privacy as next door was sat watching us. Overall a great holiday accommodation, good spec. Hopefully they will address our comments especially the clothing storage as this proved irritating for part of our group. Regards Carol Bennett
We had a fantastic week in a warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean property. Bryn & Angela were friendly and welcoming, and the addition of a hot tub was a fantastic surprise installed between us booking and arriving, we were the first to try it out! and a treat for the family.
Wonderful spacious and clean, well equipped kitchen with quality fittings throughout the barn. Good location for visiting the many attractions and very friendly owners nearby. Welcome pack with local produce very much appreciated. A beautiful place to stay would not hesitate in staying here again.
Fab cottage exactly as described, super clean & very comfortable. Perfect location for exploring the wider area. We very much look forward to returning in the future!
Stunning cottage with a great homely feel. Perfect for trips with family or friends couldnt fault really. Small things to suggest would be to have a book with suggested activities and sights to help daily outings planning may have been removed due to Covid. Was sorry to leave.
Superb cottage with fantastic facilities. Quality throughout. Friendly owner closeby to help if required. The location is fantastic convenient for sea or mountains. Excellent games room and lovely private gardens with intimate spaces for everyone to enjoy. Great BBQ and outdoor spaces
Absolutely brilliant place to stay. Spacious, clean, all amenitites as described. Was perfectly cleaned when we arrived. The place is massive, the games room accommodates Mountain Bikes and surf boards. The pool table was great. The kitchen is excellent. The beds are lovely. So many places to sit outside. The owners are very friendly and are close by. Total recommendation.

Beudyr Wennol is a stunning cottage, spacious, well equipped and very tastefully decorated. The location is quiet and rural but not remote, so youre within easy reach of all amenities. The owners live close by and are really lovely. Thank you!
Richard
Very spacious, comfortable and clean. Light and bright inside with plenty of doors and windows to open during warm weather. Private back garden with patio area with table and chairs. Utility area for drying wet clothes was appreciated. Lovely location for exploring the local beaches, castles and coastal walks. A lovely place to stay!
Elaine
The Barn is a very lovely place to stay, extremely comfortable with plenty of space and ease of access for visiting many different parts of North Wales. This was our second stay and we were not disappointed. Hosts extremely friendly and helpful, and we were very lucky with some sunny weather. Reading back through several feedback entries we concur that with some minor attention and a few additions this would be an even more enjoyable place to stay. Particularly the addition of blinds to the bedroom skylights, and attention to the poor toilet flushing system in the bathroom. That said, we would recommend a stay and would not rule out returning for a third holiday.
Really lovely, comfortable property in a peaceful spot with nice friendly hosts. A great location for accessing beaches and mountains, we would definitely like to visit again and stay longer! highly recommended
Had an enjoyable staycation. Beds very comfortable, great living space with comfortable chairs & a bonus to have the pool table. Only negative point was we had difficulty flushing the bathroom toilet so tended to use one off utility.
