Acorn Cottage Reviews

Rebecca
Cottage was great, had everything we needed and more. Clean and cosy, decorated for Christmas which was a surprise. Lots of games for the children to play, along with the hot tub. Would definitely recommend and will be looking to say here again.
Great place for a short break or getaway. This is our 3rd or 4th time booking and plan to book again in the future.
Jacqueline
Lovely Cottage. We really enjoyed our week here, the cottage is perfect. Wonderful hot tub. The location is great, with easy access to Ludlow and Shrewsbury. The owners extra touches like the fresh milk, orange juice, baskets of goodies make the stay even better! We would definitely recommend staying here.
Andrew
Upon arrival we received a warm welcome from our host Pete. He explained how to use the heating and hot tub, which was very helpful. The property was excellent, lovely and warm on arrival, with all the luxuries of home and more. It was spotlessly clean throughout. A nice welcome basket was waiting for us, along with fresh milk and pure orange juice in the fridge. The property is situated along a well maintained country lane, easily accessible for any type of car. The location was perfect for us, right in the heart of the countryside, with only the sound of birds and the wind rustling through the trees. This was by far one of our favourite cottages weve ever visited. The hot tub was amazing, larger than most and kept its temperature perfectly, even after hours of use on a cold autumn night. Both of our hosts, Pete and Karen, were extremely friendly. Overall, our stay was an excellent experience. We would definitely return for another relaxing break. A definite 1010.
Andrea
What an amazing cottage. Couldn't fault anything. Many little touches that made our stay a memorable one. Lovely hosts, 10 out of 10. Definitely recommend and would to return.
Michael
The property was well equipped, clean and ideal for a base to enjoy the local area. The hot tub was an enjoyable extra. Would recommend to anyone
We have just returned from 2 nights at acorn cottage, and we had such a lovely time. The cottage was beautiful and immaculately clean. Pete was lovely and made us feel very welcome! We will definitely be returning in the near future.
Denise
The photographs do not do it justice. The hot tub, sitting and outside lounging area are really private and the photographs did not reflect this. It is a really special house. We just loved the quality, attention to detail and unique wooden finishing and furniture.
A first class property. Well equipped and clean. Quiet location surrounded by countryside. Large parking area.
Loveley cottage, probably one of the best we have stayed in. Greeted by the owner on arrival, lovely gentleman. Cottage was lovely and clean, had everything for a very comfortable stay. Hot tub with bluetooth speakers was the best we have used so far. A very well eqipped cottage with extra towels and cleaning products. Cookies, crisps and tea coffee supplies were a nice touch, even a fresh bottle of orange juice and milk left in the fridge for us. Will definately be back to stay again.
Charles
Very relaxing and pleasant stay in beautiful surroundings . the owner went out of his way to make sure that we were comfortable. The cottage was furnished to a high standard and was very clean and we rate it as one of the best we have stayed in and would like to return one day.
Second stay at the cottage . Absolutely love it here , everything you need for a lovely relaxed break with lovely treats left for us and warm welcome from the owner. So sad to leave and cant wait to return.
Had a 2 night stay at Acorn Cottage, it was perfect! Friendly, warm welcome with everything provided that we could possibly need. The cottage is beautiful, well maintained and extremely comfortable. Would suit both couples and families of 4. Set in a beautiful location but close enough to get out and about and explore. The hot tub was great and if you are lucky enough to get the sun, which we did, the garden gets the sun all through the afternoon. We would highly recommended Acorn Cottage and hope to stay again
Just come back from a lovely few days stay at Acorn cottage. The property was beautiful with all the comforts of home and more. We really appreciated the welcome pack of milk, juice etc from the local dairy. The hot tub was brilliant and the added touch of the extra towels and robes were amazing. Lovely location in the countryside whilst still being close enough to the beautiful town of Ludlow. Would definitely recommend.
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cottage it was very well presented and maintained. Excellent hot tub enjoyed using it unfortunately we were only two instead of four as the others were not well but we made the most of it. The location is very convenient with lots to see and do not to far away.
Philip
We were welcomed on arrival by the friendly owner. Inside Acorn Cottage was immaculate and had everything you could need and we appreciated the snacks and milk that had been left for us. Sitting in the hot tub in the evening looking at the stars was great. We had a lovely stay.
Sandra

It was perfect for our stay. So lovely to have two bedrooms the same size so lots of lovely space. Beds really comfortable and heating vey user friendly so cosy and snug in February. Check out the custom made double bed fab! The open plan living downstairs made a lovely family space with everything we needed. The hot tub a real treat and a first for most of the family, so great memories made. Location is great for some fab site seeing. We went to Ludlow, weir & castle and Iron bridge. Hosts, Karen and Peter are very welcoming and knowledgeable on the area. Total recommend this cottage and will be back if I head to the area again. Also, they have a second themed cottage which is absolutely fabulous and a MUST for Hobbit fans!! We were invited for a sneak peak its brilliant!
Rebecca
Absolutely beautiful cottage. The owners are very friendly and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything to make our Christmas special. Highly recommend. Perfect location. Thank you so much.
Just returned from our stay. Lots of lovely touches such as dressing gowns, toiletries and a little hamper of goodies to start the holiday. Was really cozy and ideal for what we needed for the week. We explored Ludlow Castle, Ludlow Brewery and even had time for a cream. Such a lovely location will definitely recommend and rebook.
Incredibly generous hospitality, with a warm welcome and a warm farewell. Impeccably clean property with a number of exquisite touches, not least the hand made oak bed in the master bedroom. Stunningly comfortable single beds in the second bedroom made for a thoroughly relaxing and rejuvenating night's sleep. Hot tub was the best we've experienced in 10 years of hot tub holidays. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our holiday. Book this cottage to guarantee satisfaction!
We loved our stay here. The cottage is beautiful and had everything we needed for a lovely, relaxing stay. The outside area is perfect and the hot tub is amazing. The kids also loved it here. Walked to The Salwey Arms, which wed also recommend. A great weekend all round!

We had a fantastic stay at Acorn Cottage. The hosts were very welcoming and the property was well equipped and clean. There are some lovely features in the cottage and nice touches such as games and dvds provided. Particular credit goes to the meticulous upkeep of the hot tub, with the owner checking it daily which was much appreciated. The cottage is in a great location too, close to lots of lovely places to visit. We hope to be back soon!
This is an amazing property, one of the best weve stayed in. The pictures dont do it justice, especially the master bedroom which has a hand carved wooden bed not shown in the pictures which was beautiful and comfortable. Lovely welcoming hosts who were available but not obtrusive. Welcome basket on arrival greatly appreciated with fresh milk and orange juice. Great hot tub and outdoor area lovely views of the countryside. Would recommend a visit to Ludlow farm shop and Carding Mill Valley National Trust site. Would highly recommend a stay here, we will hopefully be back again soon!

Beautiful cottage in a lovely, peaceful, scenic location. Pete gave us a nice warm, welcoming greeting on arrival and gave us a quick overview of the cottage and its facilities. A welcome pack with fresh milk, juice, crisps and biscuits was a lovely touch. The cottage was spotlessly clean and comfortable, the hottub was excellent and we enjoyed relaxing in it at the end of each day. We genuinely couldn't have wished for a nicer stay for the week lovely, unobtrusive hosts, a fabulous cottage with everything we needed for our stay, and a wonderful location to relax. We had a lovely time at Acorn Cottage, beautiful setting and wonderful hosts. Definitely a home from home feeling for the entire stay. The cottage has clearly been well thought out and lots of care given to all the small details. Great base for exploring Leominster and Ludlow and walking routes in the local area. The cottage is in a partial dark sky area and we were so lucky to have a few cloudless nights watching the stars from the hot tub! Definitely somewhere we would want to go back to.

Beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and well equipped property, in a quiet location, but very convenient for Ludlow and surrounding area. The hottub was great after clambering over numerous castles. The host was very friendly and welcoming. Happy to recommend this property.

Acorn cottage was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you could think of. Exceptionally welcoming hosts where nothing is too much trouble. Karen certainly has an eye for detail so were sure the Hobbit House which is their new project, shortly to be ready to rent ,will be just as outstanding. The hot tub was an added bonus which was used each day especially by grandchildren. Would highly recommend this property .
Christina
What a wonderful cottage with fantastic hosts. The little extra touches were most welcome and as owners they thought of everything. The hot tub was a lovely addition great way to wind down after a busy day out and about. The location is great lots of lovely places to visit locally and we used it as a base to go farther afield too. The cottage was well equipped with everything a family needs for a short stay. Our children loved having a TV in their room, a nice treat that they dont have at home. Overall, Acorn Cottage is a lovely home from home which we would definitely recommend to others and wouldnt hesitate booking again.
