Tillislow Barton Farmhouse Reviews

Rod
Tillislow Barton Farmhouse is a very nice property with a very high level of equipment. There wasn't a single utensil that I needed that wasn't provided. The size and cleanliness of the house was more than adequate to accommodate my family with four generously bedrooms and two lounges. The owners, Clare and Michael, are very friendly and informative without being intrusive. Clare in particular went the extra mile by welcoming us with a lovely lemon drizzle cake and flowers in the dining room. The only downside (if you can call it that) is the relative seclusion. It's lovely and quiet but to get anywhere you have to drive and the roads are very narrow and the surfaces are shocking. Okay if your driving a tractor but my poor car has come home for a rest.
Mark
Lovely farmhouse, well furnished and equipped with plenty of room inside and nice outside areas. Friendly owner who was available if required with recommendations for local supplies and activities.
Ashley
Beautiful farm house, comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Like home from home. Beautiful surroundings very peaceful. Host Clare was amazing, nothing too much trouble and the cake on arrival was amazing.
John
Lovely holiday with family.Welcoming owner was very much appreciated.Thank you Clare and Michael.
Gary
A really nice place, well fitted out and spacious.
Angela
The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you need. The outside space is also lovely, especially when the sun is shining.
Lorna
Amazing Farm House, we loved every minute of our time at Tillislow and wished we could have stayed longer, we will definitively be back! Clare was very welcoming and attentive. The house is beautiful, really comfortable, spacious but cosy at the same time and has everything you can possibly need, the garden and grounds are lovely too with fantastic views. We were a party of 7, aged 14 to 82 and everyone had a great time. Completely fell in love with the house and will certainly recommend to anyone looking to explore the area and wishing to come back to a peaceful and relaxing home after a day out. Thank you so much Clare!
Julia
We had such a great time over Christmas here. It is by far the best equipped holiday home I have been to. There was nothing I can think of that we needed. The main lounge is warm and cosy with ample seating on very large sofas! The smaller snug lounge was good for time out and peace and quiet when it got too noisy. Very large dinning room table with plenty of seating. Didnâ??t use the garden much as it was very cold, but looked ample in size and I think we would have used it. Upstairs the beds were comfy and very large. We didnâ??t use the games room, as my family are all adults, but for teenagers it would be a godsend! All bedding very warm. The only downside for us was only one bathroom upstairs. The en suit was good and there is a downstairs shower room but it was just too cold to use for showering. I must stress that it has a heated towel rail, but maybe we are just too wimpish!
Elaine
A very comfortable and clean house with a lovely homely feel.
Graham
Excellent, well-equipped cottage in a convenient location. All the amenities you need are at the cottage with plenty of space for the dogs to run in the garden and small paddock. We really enjoyed our trips out from the cottage to Dartmoor and the Cornwall coast.
Charlotte
Absolutely loved staying here. Peaceful and quiet. The house was warm and cosy in the evenings even when the weather was unforgiving! We were a large family with 2 young ones and the travel cots provided were perfect for my little ones. The beds are comfy and the rooms are quiet, surprisingly soundproofed! There is loads of space and we had everything we needed for meals, socialising and quiet time. Honestly cannot say anything negative about this property. We are hoping to visit again next year, we all loved it.
Lucinda
Home from home, would definitely recommend to family & friends
Suzan
