Coham Barn Reviews

Paige
We went as a family of 9 plus two dogs and had a fantastic time. Sophie was extremely helpful with any questions I had. We had a food shopping delivered to us within an hour of arrival although you can drive to a few different towns with a short drive. The dogs absolutely loved the grounds, as did we! Our highlight was most definitely the pool that we used every day, multiple times a day! Kitchen stocked with anything and everything you need to cook and enjoy a family meal on the huge dining table. Beds are super comfy, towels provided to save lots of space when packing! We all made use of the firepit in the evening to toast some marshmallows! I don't have a single complaint. Absolutely loved it and can't wait to return!
Carly
We loved Coham barn. It was perfect for two families. The pool was so good really put us into holiday mode straight away. The open lounge area was just right for chilling out and playing games. The kitchen was really well equipped and the bench seated table area was really well used by us for lots of yummy self catered meals together. The Alexa was great to play holiday tunes on too. All the beds and bedding were super comfortable. Even though Coham barn was in a wonderful quiet location offering a peaceful countryside environment it was still easy either to walk to the pub (excellent beer festival attended!) or drive to Bude to the seaside :-) we also enjoyed toasting marshmallows on the fire pit
Will
We had a truly wonderful stay. Simon and his family were very accommodating, providing top tips for the local area and even a grill and fire wood for our bbq. The surrounding area was also lovely and being woken up by the birdsong was a definite highlight. Would most certainly stay here again if coming back to Black Torrington.

The cottage is absolutely beautiful. There are three bathrooms and two bedrooms either side of the kitchen/lounge. The place is well decorated and feels very homely. Lots of games and books. There is a lovely firepit which was great fun for toasting marshmallows. The cottage is situated in the most idyllic location with the river running through the grounds. Unfortunately the swimming pool wasn't available when we visited but it was a good size and easily accessible down a few stairs. We got to see cows who were very friendly and came right up to us. We would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone who wants a rural break away.
Mark
Perfect for the whole family, we really enjoyed the stay in coham barn, remote if that's what you like .... kids loved the pool would definitely stay again
Susan
Really good holiday home. Great heated swimming pool with stream running through property. Fantastic hosts Sophie and Simon
Erin
The cottage was really lovely, well furnished with some nice touches. Was in a good location with a Supermarket not too far away. Plenty of glasses, cups, plates etc. Made for a comfortable stay. The downside, the place wasnâ??t very clean. Iâ??ve stayed in safari tents that have been cleaner. I had to clean the bedrooms from a multitude of cobwebs that had obviously been there for some time as my grandchildren were scared there were spiders living in them. I hoovered up a fake eyelash which was sat on the window sill. In the bedrooms with the bunkers there was black mould around the window frame. Main bathroom, toilet and sink were dirty. There is a screw in the pool room sticking out of the floor which both I and one of my grandchildren trod on. Nice place but could be so much better.
Jordan
Lovely cottage, private and the owners were helpful in letting us have some fire wood. Nice rural location.
Nicola
Bit out of the way. Lovely in the Summer months I'd imagine but very limited for things to do in winter and nothing in walking distance. Lovely welcome pack..place was tired but clean.
Paul
The whole place is in need of a good clean and maintenance inside and out! The smell from the septic tank was horrendous! We paid a lot of money to stay here and expected so much more. Would not recommend!
Carol
A very out of the way place but lovely. Children really enjoyed the pool, and there is a great sitting outside area under the veranda. Beds were so comfortable. It is such a great place we would go again.
Charlotte
Lovely property, exactly as described. The pool is great fun and nice and warm. Amazing scenery and gardens right outside your front door!
Tom
Fabulous! Our family went along with another family and the set up was great for our party of 4 adults and 4 children. Beautiful location with a really lovely charm and feel to the place. The kids loved it and the pool was of course a wonderful added benefit. Would definitely recommend!
